Reports have recently surfaced concerning Jack Nicholson’s increasingly isolated lifestyle, leaving his friends concerned about the aging actor.

According to a close source familiar with the 85-year-old actor, he is isolating himself in his lavish Mulholland Drive home in Los Angeles. He appears that “he doesn’t want to face reality anymore.”

It has been over a year since the celebrity’s last public appearance, which was at an LA Lakers game back in October of 2021. Accompanying him that day was his 30-year-old son Ray.

After his last Lakers game in January 2020 and numerous rumors of deteriorating health, the renowned womanizer reappeared more than a year later.

RadarOnline recently spoke with a source who declared that people surrounding the actor, whose six children are from five women and just one marriage, fear he will depart this world as his late friend Marlon Brando did – isolated from society.

Jack’s still connected with some of his family, particularly Ray whom he has taken under his wing and is so proud of – but those days when Jack was out socializing are long gone,’ the insider mentioned in relation to Jack’s 30-year-old son from Rebecca Broussard.

The actor’s youngest son, Ray, accompanied his father to the last two Lakers games in a show of familial support.

The sources were concerned about Nicholson’s behavior, comparing it to Brando’s depressing last days before his death in 2004. In the decades prior, the iconic leading man had secluded himself in Tahiti and gained a great deal of weight.

“Brando died a virtual recluse after leading such a colorful life, and Jack’s friends are drawing the comparisons,” the source stated.

“His kids will visit, but they’re his only connection to the world,” the source added. “It’s like he doesn’t want to face reality anymore – and that’s just sad.”

In the 1970s, Brando and Nicholson became notorious for their wild behavior and ardent pursuance of female companionship, living on Mulholland Drive in close proximity to Warren Beatty.

The street was eventually christened ‘Bad Boy Drive’ after the group’s notorious behavior – with Nicholson supposedly running a party venue in his Easy Rider film earnings-funded residence. This movie became an icon of its time, having been propelled by drug money and inspiring generations to come.

In 2009, the public was given insight into Nicholson’s original housewarming method when insiders divulged how he “spent three months walking around completely naked from dawn till sunset whether he had visitors or not.”

Despite remaining in the same home, Nicholson’s behavior towards his guests completely transformed, per internal sources.

To make matters worse, there have been reports surrounding the actor’s health which is said to be deteriorating. In fact, according to Radar last year close friends even speculated that he could possibly be suffering from dementia. His son Ray and older sister Lorraine are apparently “looking after him” by caring for him during this time of need.

“Jack and I have been friends for years and he doesn’t leave his house anymore… I think his son and daughter are looking after him now,” In September 2021, a friend revealed.

“The Mulholland Drive community is pretty close-knit, and they are all worried about him,” continued the friend, adding that “physically he is fine – but his mind is gone.”

“It’s really sad to see such a super talented actor, like Jack, go out this way,” the source stated.

For decades, the iconic actor has comfortably resided in a sprawling home that features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 3,303 square feet of space as well as its own pool. It’s also been host to numerous famous rendezvous over the years since his tenancy began in the 70s.

Nicholson has romanced an array of beauties, including Michelle Phillips, Bebe Buell, Lara Flynn Boyle, Anjelica Huston and Rebecca Broussard.

For a period of six years, between 1962 and 1968, he was blessed with a sweet union to Sandra Knight – an idyllic marriage she remembered fondly.

Yet, his relationship with Addams Family actress Angelica Huston was significantly more tumultuous; he continually strayed from her.

After 16 years of a turbulent relationship, it all concluded in 1989 when Broussard revealed to him over dinner that she was expecting his child.

As Nicholson expressed to Closer, he was “annihilated emotionally,” further noting that: “I’m childish and I did make a mistake.”

Nicholson is known for his leisurely lifestyle, where he wakes up no earlier than 1pm and spends the rest of his day drinking milk to keep himself comfortable, playing golf with friends, and visiting the neighboring estate that holds all of his artwork. According to a recent magazine feature on him, this is how Mr. Nicholson passes most days.

To bypass the hassle of neighbors, he bought Marlon Brando’s old home in Mulholland Drive from its adjacent house in Los Angeles.

According to a reliable source, his family had been attempting to convince him to sell the properties he owns in order to downsize to a “more manageable place in Beverly Hills.”

For decades, Jack and Ray have shared a special tradition of watching the LA Lakers games together. Until recently though, when the actor has been noticeably absent from his courtside spot – breaking their long-standing father-son bond to watch Laker’s basketball.

Jack’s unwavering loyalty to the Los Angeles basketball team has been steadfast for decades, even during their less-than-successful seasons.

In 2013, he and Adam Sandler dramatically left the arena after watching the Lakers, unfortunately, succumb to a defeat by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After his last movie in 2010, How Do You Know, Jack has settled into a more laid-back lifestyle and has even taken up painting as an enjoyable pastime.
