Rep. Ilhan Omar is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons—this time by melting down on national television when confronted with President Trump’s blunt warnings about Somali crime and welfare abuse in Minnesota.

During a heated CBS interview with Margaret Brennan, the far-left congresswoman exploded after Brennan played a clip of Trump criticizing Somali migrants for taking advantage of America while refusing to assimilate. Instead of addressing the serious law-and-order concerns Trump highlighted, Omar reverted to her usual victim routine—accusing Trump of being “disgusting” and claiming he has a “creepy obsession” with her.

The conversation started with Brennan noting that roughly 80,000 people of Somali descent now live in Minnesota—many arriving as refugees at enormous cost to American taxpayers. Brennan then rolled footage of Trump speaking at a Cabinet meeting, where he didn’t mince words:

“These are people that do nothing but complain…they got nothing. We don’t want them in our country. Let them go back to where they came from and fix it.”

Trump has been increasingly vocal in recent weeks about fraud, radicalization, and organized criminal activity tied to Somali networks—especially after the horrific terror attack in Washington, D.C., and ongoing revelations that Somali-linked organizations siphoned hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars from public programs. He has warned repeatedly that the influx of Somali refugees has transformed entire communities in Minnesota and tied up resources meant for American citizens.

Brennan asked Omar what her constituents thought of Trump’s comments. Instead of expressing concern for Minnesotans fearful of violence, fraud, or rising crime, Omar insisted that Trump’s statements were “dehumanizing” and claimed Somali migrants are simply “Americans” being unfairly targeted.

“It’s disgusting,” Omar declared, ignoring the fact that many of the individuals Trump referenced are not citizens and that Somali gang violence and welfare fraud are well-documented problems—not political talking points.

Omar then made the moment all about herself, claiming Trump’s comments reflect an “unhealthy and creepy obsession” with her personally. That accusation conveniently sidesteps the reality that Omar has positioned herself as one of the most radical members of Congress—attacking law enforcement, defending open borders, and routinely criticizing the very country that took her in.

Finally, Omar claimed Trump’s remarks could “lead to dangerous actions.” Notably, she showed zero concern about the dangerous actions already taking place—from terror plots and violent crime to massive public-aid fraud draining state budgets.

Trump’s critics on the left continue to clutch their pearls over his blunt language, but one thing is clear: everyday Americans—and especially Minnesotans—are paying attention to the real-world consequences of unchecked immigration and failed assimilation. And while Omar demands Americans stay silent and “respect” communities that refuse to follow the law, the president is saying what millions are thinking: if you come to this country, contribute—and don’t turn America into the failed society you fled.
