In a blockbuster interview on “The Benny Show”, DHS adviser Corey Lewandowski confirmed what many Minnesotans have been quietly whispering for years: ICE is preparing for a full-scale crackdown in the Somali-dominated enclaves of Minnesota, the epicenter of a massive fraud and terror-financing scandal that now stretches into the billions.

The Biden-era blind eye is over. The Trump Administration is moving in.

This comes after bombshell reporting—led by Christopher Rufo—exposed that Somali nationals in Minnesota reportedly stole millions upon millions in taxpayer-funded benefits and funneled the cash, often literally in bags, straight to Al-Shabaab, the al-Qaeda-linked terror organization destabilizing East Africa.

On Benny Johnson’s show, the host laid out the raw truth: “Billions of dollars of fraud… used to pay for Muslim terrorists in Somalia… bags of cash… and they send it back to go fund Muslim terrorism.” Then he asked the obvious question: What is DHS going to do about Minneapolis?

Lewandowski didn’t dance around it.

“If you’re doing something illegally… I would recommend you self-report, go to the CBP Home app, and get the hell out of the country really quickly,” he said bluntly—before hinting at a coming wave of federal action.

“You will see a dramatic change in posture in that community,” Lewandowski continued. “This is clearly a major story that requires intervention to fix the problem.”

Translation: ICE is coming, and they’re coming in force.

The crackdown is the culmination of years of warnings about Minnesota’s permissive refugee policies, its refusal to enforce immigration law, and the political cover provided by leftists like Ilhan Omar, who has become the face of the state’s sprawling Somali political machine.

And on that note—Benny went there.

He asked Lewandowski point-blank about the years of credible reporting alleging that Rep. Ilhan Omar committed multiple layers of immigration fraud, including entering a fraudulent marriage to help a relative skirt the system.

“There is bona fide proof,” Benny said, echoing what former DHS officials have claimed privately for years.

So will Omar finally face an investigation?

Lewandowski didn’t deny it for a second.

“I don’t want to comment on a potential investigation… but we have to let the process play out,” he said—carefully wording what many saw as an unmistakable hint that Omar’s shield of political protection may finally be cracking under the Trump Administration’s restored rule of law.

It’s clear the mood at DHS has changed dramatically. What was tolerated under Biden is now being treated as an urgent national-security threat—because that’s exactly what it is.

Terror financing rooted in welfare fraud. Lawless enclaves shielded by political correctness. A state bureaucracy too captured by identity politics to stop the bleeding.

And now?

The federal government is done asking nicely.

If Lewandowski’s warnings are any indication, Minnesota’s Somali-linked criminal networks are about to face something they haven’t seen in years: law enforcement with backbone.

And for the long-suffering taxpayers of Minnesota, it’s about time.
