In a tone-deaf display that reveals just how far Democrats are willing to go to defend illegal immigrants—even those with gang ties—Hillary Clinton is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The twice-failed presidential candidate and former Secretary of State came to the defense of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant deported by the Trump administration to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador. The twist? Garcia isn’t some innocent “Maryland man” as the leftist media claims—he’s reportedly a known MS-13 gang member with a violent past.

Rather than supporting the victims of gang violence or acknowledging the Trump administration’s successful crackdown on violent criminals in the country illegally, Clinton chose to play the victim card on Garcia’s behalf. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), she dramatically warned, “If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.”

Clinton conveniently turned off the comments on her post—perhaps realizing that defending an MS-13 thug might not be the political win she thought it was. But Americans spoke up anyway through quote-tweets, roasting her for siding with a violent criminal. One user wrote, “This whole fiasco won’t age well for Democrats. This guy had big MS-13 connections and wasn’t even here legally.”

The Trump administration was quick to set the record straight. Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, fired off a detailed response:
“1. When Garcia was arrested, he was found with rolls of cash and drugs.
2. He was arrested with two other members of MS-13.
3. Two judges found that he was a member of MS-13.
4. He was wearing MS-13 gang clothing at the time of arrest.”

Hardly the picture of an innocent father Clinton and the media are peddling.

The official DHS account backed up McLaughlin’s claims by releasing court documents showing Garcia’s history of violence—including a restraining order filed by his wife, who accused him of physical abuse. Garcia, according to the filings, punched, scratched, and ripped her shirt off during a domestic incident. Yet somehow, the left thinks he’s the victim.

Garcia’s wife, Vasquez Sura, later downplayed the abuse, calling it a misunderstanding and saying they reconciled and attended counseling. But even her own statements admit that she originally sought protection out of fear. That’s hardly an exoneration.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t about family reunification or seeking refuge. It’s about a dangerous illegal immigrant with gang ties being held accountable. The Trump administration acted decisively—and lawfully—to remove someone who posed a clear threat to public safety.

Clinton’s defense of Garcia isn’t just misguided; it’s disgraceful. And it once again highlights the vast divide between America First policies that prioritize citizens’ safety and the radical open-border agenda of the modern Democrat Party.

If the left wants to make MS-13 thugs their poster children, fine. The American people are watching—and they’re not buying it.
