When ABC announced that the hit show Last Man Standing was going to be canceled it came with a lot of backlash. Fans all over didn’t understand why this was happening because the show had such high ratings.
Fans started to speculate the reason it was shut down was due to political view indifferences. Tim Allen is a clear and proud Republican, where most of ABCs executives are quite the opposite. Rumors started to spread this was the real reason the show was shut down but nothing was ever confirmed. ABC continued to deny this accusation.
As soon as ABC canceled the show, rumors also started to spread that another network was going to pick up the show. Now, finally, it’s been made official. Foxnews has picked up the show for its seventh season. And fans couldn’t be more excited the show is joining the Fox Network.
Fox announced the show will air Friday nights and right now is slated to air around 8 P.M. to help round out prime-time programming.
Tim was the first to announce this great news on social media by taking to Twitter:
“Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from FOX that it’s time to get back out on that diamond hell yes, I’m excited,” Allen said in a statement announcing the revival.”
Fox has confidence the right-leaning comic’s show will be a success just like the revival of Rosanne has been. Since reairing Rosanne has amassed a whopping 18 million views.
Fans of the show are absolutely ecstatic and are showing an outpouring of support on social media. Here’s what they had to say:
“Welcome back Tim, outstanding cast and crew. So sad that you all were victimized by the obvious black racist liberal who became ABC’s President and took revenge for the election by canceling your highly rated sitcom that had such great numbers. Looking forward to what the writers can do with a year’s absence with some insider jokes. Hoping Mr. Elizondo reprises his role too as he added so much”
Another went onto say:
“We’ve been watching reruns of LMS off and on for a couple months now… we’re in season 5. It just kept getting better and better over the years. I hope the writers can continue where season 6 left off.”
“Love that it’s coming back. It’s a great show and should never have been canceled. Thank you, fox.”
