Many times it is considered to be human nature to jump to conclusions. This is a common practice by many and it often helps to slow down and find out all the facts before determining the correct conclusion. There are so many reasons why people come to certain conclusions based on impressions sometimes alone. For this reason, it can be perceived as human nature to jump to conclusions both good and bad based on the impressions we get when faced with certain situations or treatments. This is particularly true for a Texas Roadhouse in the Dallas area where one family’s perception was quickly turned around upon further investigation about this Dallas Texas Roadhouse. The experience was a lesson to prove that things may not be what the first impression leads one to believe. It is important to understand and gather the facts as to why things sometimes may not be what they seem for a great reason. It is a good rule to remember that there are two sides to every story and gathering the details is important.

A Texas Roadhouse in Dallas was a selection for one family to enjoy a nice meal. When arriving at the restaurant the waitress asked about preference for seating. Now a popular place to sit in most restaurants for many people are the booths. The booth offers softer seating and a cozier environment for most people. After they state their preference to the waitress, they found that they were denied initial seating requests. They were lead to a table right next to the booth they were interested in. On the way to be seated, they noticed VIP signs posted on the tables with a sign they did not have time to read at first glance. The family was upset to find out they did not get the seats they wanted so they took to social media and posted a picture of the restaurant. They decided to send one from their party to go and investigate who these VIP members were and to read the signposted. Upon further review, they learned that the situation was not at all what they thought it to be. The person they sent said the sign stated the following: “We remember and honor the five slain police officers, Sergeant Michael J. Smith, Officer Michael Krol, Officer Patrick Zamarripa, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, and Mr. Brent Thompson, who worked for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police Department, that the Texas Roadhouse restaurant reserved a table for. We thank you for your service. May you rest in peace.” The family was shocked and quickly turned the mood from upset to honored to be placed next to these slain police hero’s.

The restaurant felt a great need to honor these officers with a small gesture of reserving them this space. The gesture was heartfelt and emotional as it paid tribute to these slain officers. Everyone who visited that restaurant and read the sign was also amazed to see Texas Roadhouse taking this moment to honor them. People were stopping and taking pictures with the sign that also had an American Flag on the table. The management for Texas Roadhouse was very excited about the small gesture. Texas Roadhouse wanted to let the public and community know that they stand with their fallen hero’s and will support and honor them for a job well done.
