The left-wing media is at it again—this time, shamelessly twisting reality to attack one of their biggest adversaries, Elon Musk. After a pre-inauguration event where Musk playfully gestured to the crowd, liberal outlets, led by CNN, rushed to falsely label it as a “Nazi salute.” Now, his mother, Maye Musk, is demanding accountability—and calling for her son to take legal action.

During a Trump rally ahead of the inauguration, Musk—introduced as America’s “first buddy”—made a simple, heartfelt gesture, pressing his hand to his chest and throwing it outward toward the crowd in appreciation. But instead of reporting the truth, the activist media did what it does best: take things out of context, distort reality, and smear political opponents.

CNN’s Kasie Hunt wasted no time in pushing the falsehood, stating, “That salute was evocative of things we’ve seen through history. It’s not something you typically see at American political rallies.”

Of course, rational Americans saw this claim for what it was—pure propaganda. Even left-leaning commentator Piers Morgan called out the absurdity, writing on X, “Elon Musk was very ill-advised to do this kind of salute to denote his clearly stated ‘my heart goes out to you’ sentiment… but he obviously didn’t mean it as a Nazi salute and anyone who says he did is being a disingenuous idiot.”

In an embarrassing moment for CNN, one of its own conservative contributors, Scott Jennings, tore apart the network’s manufactured outrage. During a panel discussion, host Abby Phillips suggested Musk’s gesture was indeed a Nazi salute—only for Jennings to shut it down.

“We’ve moved on from Trump derangement syndrome to Elon derangement syndrome,” Jennings quipped, pointing out the media’s desperation to attack Musk by any means necessary. He even suggested that Musk could sue for defamation, saying, “Anybody who is asserting this thing he did on the stage the other day was a Sieg Heil, which I just heard you say—you know, lawyer up maybe because, absolute[ly] ridiculous thing to say.”

That’s when far-left CNN panelist Catherine Rampell had a full meltdown, repeatedly challenging Jennings to perform the gesture on live TV, as if that somehow proved their case. The unhinged exchange only underscored how far CNN was willing to go to push its bogus narrative.

After watching CNN’s disgraceful segment, Maye Musk took to X to demand that her son hold the network accountable.

“I have been receiving so much hatred because of the @CNN panel with @crampell yelling about Nazi salutes. @elonmusk, please sue them. Thank you @ScottJenningsKY for trying to intervene with the truth,” she wrote.

Her post was met with overwhelming support, with commenters urging Musk to take action against the smear merchants. “It’s unacceptable that false narratives are being pushed. Accountability is key to fostering a positive culture, and defamation should have consequences,” one user responded. Another added, “I’m so sick of these leftist propagandists who think they can get away with any lie because they never get held accountable.”

This latest attack is just another chapter in the left’s ongoing war against Elon Musk. Ever since he took over Twitter—renaming it X—and committed to restoring free speech, the media has made him public enemy number one. They don’t just want to criticize him; they want to destroy him.

But their strategy is backfiring. The American people are waking up to the media’s lies, and Musk has the resources to fight back. If CNN and its allies think they can get away with smearing him, they might be in for a legal battle they won’t win.
