Billionaire innovator and vocal supporter of free speech, Elon Musk, has taken his political activism to new heights. In a bold move, Musk announced during a town hall in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that he will be giving away $1 million a day to random petition signers until Election Day, in an effort to rally support for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign.
Musk, who has emerged as a staunch advocate for preserving core American values like free speech and the right to bear arms, made waves with this latest initiative. He explained that the giveaway is part of a larger strategy to boost signatures on a petition championed by America PAC, which is dedicated to protecting the First and Second Amendments. With many mainstream media outlets refusing to cover the petition, Musk is using his influence to circumvent what he calls the “media blackout.”
“We’re going to award $1 million randomly to people who have signed the petition every day from now until the election,” Musk declared, adding that this bold strategy would draw attention to the critical issues at stake in 2024. “The legacy media won’t report on it, but this news is going to fly,” Musk said confidently to the Harrisburg crowd.
This isn’t Musk’s first foray into the 2024 election. Earlier this year, he made headlines by endorsing Donald Trump, emphasizing the importance of defending free speech, gun rights, and election integrity. Musk has also increased referral payments, offering up to $100 for anyone who gets a swing-state voter to sign the petition. His high-profile presence on the campaign trail, including appearances with Trump, signals his deep commitment to the cause.
In fact, Musk’s energetic support was on full display when he joined Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Sporting a “Dark MAGA” hat and a “Occupy Mars” t-shirt, Musk brought enthusiasm to the stage, jumping and cheering as he addressed the excited crowd of Trump supporters.
Taking aim at President Biden, Musk didn’t hold back. “We had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist-pumping after being shot,” he said, comparing Biden’s infamous stumble on the stairs of Air Force One to Trump’s resilience after surviving an assassination attempt this summer. “America is the home of the brave, and there’s no truer test than courage under fire. So, who do you want representing America?” Musk asked, as the crowd roared in agreement.
Musk’s passionate support for Trump goes beyond mere political rallies. He warns of a critical election that could determine the future of free speech and individual liberties. “This is no ordinary election,” Musk told the crowd. “The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms. They want to take away your right to vote effectively.”
Musk also took a direct swipe at liberal states like California, where voter ID laws have been relaxed or eliminated. “California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID for voting. How is that even real? How are you supposed to have a fair election if there’s no ID?” Musk asked, highlighting the erosion of election integrity that he believes is happening across the country.
For Musk, this election comes down to core American principles. “Free speech is the bedrock of democracy,” he said. “You can’t have democracy without truth, and you can’t get the truth without free speech.”
As Election Day draws closer, Musk’s message to voters is simple: get registered, get informed, and most importantly, get out and vote. Especially in swing states like Pennsylvania, where the fate of the nation may very well be decided. With Musk’s $1 million-a-day giveaway adding fuel to the fire, it’s clear that he’s doing everything in his power to ensure that the voice of the American people is heard—and that those voices are voting for Donald Trump.
