In a startling turn of events, a woman from Arizona has filed a lawsuit against her plastic surgeon, accusing him of a negligent procedure while allegedly under the influence of alcohol, resulting in a nightmarish outcome. The shocking case unfolds a tale of distress and dissatisfaction that has left Wendy Ellsworth feeling like a character from a horror story.

Dr. Bradley Becker, a renowned “Double Board Certified-Plastic Reconstructive surgeon specializing in Breast and Body,” as stated on his Instagram bio, now faces serious allegations that have sent ripples through the medical community.

“It’s hard to feel like you can go out when you feel like Frankenstein,” shared Wendy Ellsworth, reflecting on her traumatic experience in an exclusive interview with Phoenix New Times. Her ordeal began when she sought the services of Dr. Becker for a tummy tuck and breast reduction.

Ellsworth’s lawsuit, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court last September, accuses the Glendale plastic and reconstructive surgeon of “medical negligence,” “battery,” and “intentional infliction of emotional distress.” She recalls sensing an unsettling aroma of alcohol as Dr. Becker entered the room before the surgery.

Despite her reservations, Ellsworth proceeded with the operation. However, the results left her horrified. Excess skin sagged from her body, a condition she believed should have been resolved during the procedure. “I didn’t go to family parties. I didn’t want to go anywhere. I didn’t want to dress up. If I went anywhere, I would wear really tight undergarments, trying to tuck all the extra skin they didn’t take. The whole point of a tummy tuck is to not have that,” she lamented.

Wendy Ellsworth had sensed trouble even before the surgery commenced. “I knew there was something wrong when he just said, ‘Alright, let’s go to the operating room,’ and he hadn’t marked me up,” she recalled. The initial procedure cost her a staggering $16,000, and she had to bear an additional $25,000 for a corrective procedure with another surgeon.

To finance the corrective surgery, Wendy’s husband took a second job, working tirelessly day and night. The emotional toll on her was severe, leading to debilitating depression that strained her marriage.

“Dr. Becker destroyed my wife. He destroyed who she was,” lamented Tyler Ellsworth in a letter to the osteopathic board in Arizona. “The crushing depression and anguish she has gone through is indescribable. His cuts went deeper than just removing skin from her stomach and breasts and quite literally scarring her for life.”

Dr. Becker vehemently denied consuming alcohol before the surgery, asserting that the procedure adhered to standard medical practices. A similar lawsuit filed by another patient in October contained analogous allegations against Dr. Becker, which he also refuted.

The patient, Alicia Armijo, cited extreme emotional distress following her surgery, which she attributed to Dr. Becker’s alleged intoxication during the procedure. She estimated that a corrective surgery would cost her an additional $12,000.

Dr. Becker and his legal team have opted not to comment on the ongoing litigation and have pledged to “try this case in the courtroom, not the press.”

This distressing case has sent shockwaves through Arizona’s medical community, raising concerns about patient safety and the integrity of medical practitioners. As Wendy Ellsworth seeks justice for her ordeal, the saga surrounding Dr. Bradley Becker continues to unfold.
