Billy Flynn Gadbois is trying to spread the message that divorce does not mean negative feelings toward one another should continue. This, he believes, is especially true when the couple is raising children together.

The Boston man recently took to Facebook with a message that has since gone viral. In his post, he details how for ex-wife’s birthday that day he had gotten up early in order to purchase flowers, cards, and gifts for his kids to give to their mother. Billy was then able to remain with his children and help them to prepare a special birthday breakfast.

He implied in the post that this kind of behavior is often met with questions and a lack of understanding from others. He states, “Per usual someone asked me why the hell I still do things for her all the time. This annoys me. So ima break it down for you all.”

Billy then explains why what he does for his boys and his ex-wife is more important than ever before. He recognizes that how he and his ex-wife treat each other is going to mold their son’s perceptions and attitudes towards their own future relationships.

The message he wants to convey is that parents need to rise above and realize there are more important things than themselves. The 36-year-old believes any animosity shown in front of the kids is petty.

The post ends with an appeal to “Raise good men. Raise strong women. Please. The world needs them, now more than ever.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have made it clear that they still care for one another despite their "conscious uncoupling" in 2014 that led to their divorce this past July.

In the February issue of InStyle magazine, the 44-year-old actress opens up about how she and the Coldplay frontman go about co-parenting daughter Apple, 12, and son Moses, 10, post-divorce. "We have our own lives but we still have our family life." Paltrow continues, "I honestly think Chris and I have contributed something positive to the culture of divorce."
