In what could prove to be a massive turning point for accountability in Washington, House Republicans are taking direct aim at the Biden White House — and this time, they’re going after what they’re calling *“The Autopen Presidency.”*
The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer (R-KY), has officially declared that the controversial “autopen pardons” issued under Joe Biden are null and void, calling them illegitimate executive actions carried out without proper authorization from the former president himself. In plain terms: these weren’t real pardons — they were paperwork signed by a machine, not by the president.
This latest revelation follows growing evidence that many documents supposedly “signed” by Joe Biden during his time in office — including pardons and executive actions — were in fact signed using an autopen, a device designed to replicate a person’s signature. What makes this worse is that insiders now claim Biden wasn’t even aware of several key actions issued under his name, raising serious constitutional and legal questions.
President Donald Trump, upon learning of the scandal earlier this month, blasted the Biden administration in classic Trump fashion on Truth Social, writing:
> “The ‘Pardons’ that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs, and many others, are hereby declared VOID, VACANT, AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT, because of the fact that they were done by Autopen.”
Now, Congress is backing him up. In a bombshell report released October 29 titled “The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House,” the Oversight Committee detailed how Biden’s senior aides allegedly wielded presidential authority without his direct approval — using the autopen to push through executive actions, issue pardons, and even sign off on policy changes, all without proper oversight or documentation.
The report paints a disturbing picture of a White House effectively run by unelected handlers. “As President Biden’s condition deteriorated,” the report states, “his aides exercised presidential authority and facilitated executive actions without his direct authorization, including misuse of the autopen and failures to properly document decision-making processes.”
According to the committee, Biden’s advisors and physician actively concealed his cognitive and physical decline, tightly scripting his appearances and limiting public access. Even worse, the report claims that pardons were issued — including some potentially benefiting members of Biden’s own family — without verified presidential consent.
Chairman Comer didn’t mince words. “The Biden Autopen Presidency will go down as one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history,” he said. “Americans saw Biden’s decline with their own eyes, and now we have proof that his staff covered it up and took unauthorized executive actions. Any such actions are null and void.”
Comer also demanded that the Department of Justice launch a full investigation into the aides who used the autopen to “govern by proxy,” many of whom have already pleaded the Fifth when questioned. “The DOJ must scrutinize every executive action tied to this fraud,” Comer said. “The American people deserve transparency — and accountability.”
In short, the committee’s findings could blow the lid off what may become known as one of the greatest acts of political deception in modern history — a presidency run by staffers, not the man elected to lead.
And as Comer made clear, the era of pretending Joe Biden was in charge is over.
