In a major development that has the D.C. establishment scrambling, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is leading the charge to hold America’s bloated foreign aid bureaucracy accountable. As chair of the House Delivering on Government Efficiency (DOGE) Subcommittee, Greene dropped a political bombshell, revealing that her committee is weighing criminal referrals related to the alleged misuse of U.S. foreign aid — much of it flowing through the deeply politicized U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
In a fiery hearing titled “America Last: How Foreign Aid Undermined U.S. Interests Around the World,” Greene laid out a devastating case against USAID, accusing the agency of channeling taxpayer dollars to organizations with ties to terrorism and pushing radical leftist ideology abroad — all while ignoring the needs of Americans back home.
“DOGE has uncovered billions of dollars that have been weaponized in furtherance of globalist, far-left ideologies,” Greene said. “The American people want change. The American people voted for change.”
And she’s not wrong.
USAID has long operated with virtually no oversight while funneling enormous sums of money to unstable and often hostile nations like Somalia, Jordan, and Ethiopia. Has the world gotten any safer for it? Greene answered her own rhetorical question with brutal clarity: “No.”
Greene didn’t mince words about where the blame lies. “USAID is Democrat-run,” she said, pointing out that a staggering 96% of all political contributions from agency employees go to Democrat candidates and PACs. “It’s being used as a party piggy bank to push their radical agenda in countries we have no business giving money to,” she warned.
Let that sink in: Nearly every dollar donated by USAID insiders goes to prop up Democrat power. Meanwhile, your hard-earned money is being shipped overseas to fund gender ideology programs and climate propaganda instead of helping veterans, securing our border, or rebuilding American communities.
But Greene made it clear: under President Trump and a Republican-led House, that gravy train is coming to an end.
“The election of President Trump was a clear mandate by the American people that they will no longer tolerate this,” she said. “He is putting an end to the foreign aid slush fund, ensuring that hardworking taxpayers’ dollars are supporting America First policies and taking care of our own people at home. And we will do the same!”
Perhaps most explosive were Greene’s calls for potential criminal referrals. She floated the possibility that some USAID funds may have made their way back into Democrat campaign coffers — a potentially massive scandal if proven true.
“Maybe we should consider investigating whether USAID funding has made it back to Democrat campaigns,” Greene suggested. “Has it affected elections? These are the real questions the American people deserve answers to.”
While Greene has yet to name specific individuals, Politico reported that former USAID head Samantha Power — a longtime Obama ally — was flagged for questionable leadership during her tenure.
If these allegations stick, this could blow the lid off yet another corrupt scheme where Democrat operatives use the federal government to enrich themselves and expand their power under the guise of “foreign aid.”
One thing is clear: the days of “America Last” are numbered. And thanks to MAGA leaders like Marjorie Taylor Greene, the reckoning is just getting started.
