In yet another incoherent and misleading tirade, former President Joe Biden took to the podium on April 15 to attack President Trump’s administration over its bold reforms to Social Security — offering little more than partisan scare tactics and emotional appeals untethered from reality.
During the rambling speech, Biden once again falsely claimed that Trump was putting Social Security checks at risk, ignoring the administration’s repeated assurances — and clear track record — that no retiree would lose their benefits. In fact, under Trump’s leadership, Social Security is being *strengthened*, not gutted, thanks in part to a sweeping anti-fraud initiative led in partnership with none other than tech innovator Elon Musk.
But Biden wasn’t interested in facts. He opened his rant with melodramatic flair, saying, “In fewer than 100 days, this new administration has done so much damage… they’re shooting first and aiming later.” That kind of hyperbole might excite the DNC base, but it doesn’t reflect what’s actually happening — which is a long-overdue cleanup of decades of mismanagement and waste in government entitlements.
President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), launched in early 2025, has uncovered tens of thousands of suspicious Social Security claims, including dozens tied to accounts allegedly owned by people over 120 years old. Instead of addressing this clear fraud, Biden scoffed, “I want to meet them because I’d like to figure out how they live that long.” Maybe someone should tell Joe that turning a blind eye to fraud isn’t a winning strategy — unless your priority is votes over accountability.
In typical Biden fashion, the speech veered into emotional pandering. He shared a muddled anecdote about a 74-year-old woman unable to access her benefits and implied it was the Trump administration’s fault — again, with no evidence. “She can’t even find out what that disability claim is,” Biden lamented, confusing basic website login issues with systemic failure.
Even Stephen King couldn’t write dialogue this disjointed.
Biden even took a shot at Elon Musk, referencing a past statement where Musk called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme” — a sentiment shared by countless economists. Instead of addressing the substance of the comment, Biden bizarrely brought up Musk’s mother, saying, “She’s probably a lovely woman. No kidding, her son-in-law is a billionaire.” It’s unclear what point he was trying to make, other than reminding Americans that he still sees class warfare as a useful political tool.
The former president then attacked Republicans with one of his nastiest smears yet: “30% of the country has no heart.” So much for unity.
He wrapped up his disjointed lecture by declaring, “Nobody’s king,” referring to Trump — yet Biden continues to act like he’s entitled to the presidency no matter how poorly he performs.
In short, Biden’s speech was a transparent attempt to stoke fear among seniors and distract from the fact that Trump is taking real steps to secure Social Security for *future generations*, not just preserve the broken status quo. As the left clings to emotional manipulation, the Trump administration is doing the hard work of reform — and the American people are taking notice.
