In yet another example of liberal media hysteria, CNN’s NewsNight turned into a circus on Wednesday when Kevin O’Leary, the straight-talking Shark Tank investor, went head-to-head with Angela Rye, a radical leftist and former executive director of the Congressional Black Caucus. The heated exchange erupted over Elon Musk’s financial support for Republican lawmakers—particularly those who have stood up to activist judges blocking President Trump’s America First policies.

The segment quickly devolved when Rye took offense to O’Leary’s defense of Musk’s legally permissible donations. Things reached a boiling point when O’Leary, in what appeared to be a simple, polite gesture, made brief contact with Rye. Immediately, Rye pounced on the moment, exclaiming, “You don’t have to touch me.”

Ever the gentleman, O’Leary calmly responded, “I did that nicely.” But Rye, determined to play the victim, doubled down. “I don’t want you to touch me. That’s my personal space.”

Unfazed, O’Leary simply replied, “I won’t ever do it again.”

Kevin O’Leary was ripped by a fellow CNN guest for touching her during a heated argument over Elon Musk’s GOP donations — and in response the “Shark Tank” star said he “won’t ever do it again.”

Rather than focus on the actual topic at hand—Musk’s right to support lawmakers of his choosing—CNN’s leftist panelists fixated on theatrics. Host Abby Phillip attempted to stir controversy by suggesting Musk’s campaign contributions amounted to “lobbying,” a term conveniently used only when conservatives receive political donations.

Rye, clearly flustered, escalated her attacks, claiming that Musk’s contributions weren’t just lobbying but somehow criminal. She breathlessly argued, “He [Musk] literally says thank you to the members who introduce articles of impeachment. That is an exchange of value. That is a violation.”

O’Leary, unshaken by the melodrama, delivered a truth bomb: “The oldest profession on Earth is not prostitution — it’s politicians raising money.”

He went on to explain the obvious: politicians have been fundraising since the beginning of time, and there’s nothing illegal about Musk supporting lawmakers who align with his values. “No laws have been broken. You don’t like it? Too bad.”

For all the pearl-clutching over Musk’s $6,600 donations—the maximum individual contribution allowed at the time—the left conveniently ignores the hundreds of millions of dollars Democrats rake in from billionaire elites, Hollywood activists, and union bosses.

At the heart of this meltdown is the left’s real fear: influential figures like Musk aren’t just refusing to toe the Democratic Party line—they’re actively backing Republicans who are working to restore law and order, secure the border, and remove activist judges who obstruct Trump’s agenda.

The so-called “controversy” surrounding Musk’s donations is nothing more than a manufactured scandal by Democrats desperate to distract from their own failures. And if Wednesday’s CNN segment proved anything, it’s that the left will continue to play the victim card and cry foul whenever they lose the debate.

As O’Leary put it: “No laws have been broken. You don’t like it? Too bad.”
