Even CNN couldn’t spin this one.

On Monday, the liberal network’s own data analyst, Harry Enten, was visibly stunned by new polling that shows Republicans crushing Democrats on the economy — an issue that, time and again, proves to be the deciding factor for voters.

Despite months of left-wing pundits insisting that Bidenomics was working, and despite corporate media cheerleading the supposed “resilience” of the economy, Americans aren’t buying it. According to CNN’s latest poll, Republicans lead Democrats by eight points when voters were asked which party best represents their economic views.

That’s not a fluke. In fact, it’s consistent with polling from November 2023, which showed an 11-point GOP advantage — well within the margin of error. And rather than Democrats making gains in the wake of economic volatility, they’re losing even more ground.

“You’d expect that Democrats would have this massive lead on the economy — it ain’t so! It ain’t so!” Enten exclaimed during his segment, looking genuinely baffled. “How is it possible after all the recession fears, after the stock market’s been doing all of this, after all the tariffs that Americans are against, and Republicans still hold an eight-point lead on the economy? Are you kidding me!?”

But for millions of American families struggling with high prices, shrinking paychecks, and costly grocery bills, the answer is simple: Democrats wrecked the economy — and Republicans are the only adults left in the room.

Even more damning for the Left, Enten cited a Reuters/Ipsos poll that showed the GOP’s edge on the economy actually widening under President Trump. In May 2024, just before Trump won re-election, Republicans already held a nine-point lead on having the best economic plan. As of May 2025? That lead has grown to 12 points.

Let that sink in: Amid all the media handwringing over tariffs and market swings, voters still overwhelmingly trust Republicans more to steer the economy. Why? Because Americans remember what prosperity looked like under Trump — low inflation, booming jobs, and energy independence. And they see what’s happened under Biden: skyrocketing costs, out-of-touch bureaucrats, and a shrinking middle class.

Perhaps the most shocking stat of all came when CNN asked voters which party represents the middle class — a question Democrats used to dominate.

In 1989, Democrats had a 23-point advantage. By 2016, it fell to 17. In 2022, they were barely hanging on with four. Now, in 2025?

It’s tied.

According to Enten, “This, I think, speaks to Democratic ills more than anything else. They have traditionally been the party of the middle class. No more. Donald Trump and the Republican Party have taken that mantle away.”

And he’s absolutely right. The Democratic Party has traded working-class Americans for activist elites and bureaucrats who think higher taxes, woke regulation, and endless handouts are the keys to success.

Voters are saying enough.

The economy isn’t just a line on a graph — it’s groceries, gas, rent, and real life. And in 2025, Americans are making it crystal clear: they trust President Trump and Republicans to get the country back on track.
