Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has once again managed to disgrace her office and spark outrage across the nation—this time with despicable comments in the wake of the assassination of conservative leader and Trump ally Charlie Kirk. Instead of offering compassion, Omar chose to smear conservatives, excuse political violence, and even suggest Kirk somehow “deserved” his murder.
Her remarks came during a livestreamed interview with disgraced former MSNBC host Medhi Hasan on September 11, where rather than condemning the assassin or the toxic rhetoric of the left, Omar attacked Republicans. She labeled those who blamed left-wing extremism for Kirk’s murder as “disgusting” and “full of s—.”
But her tirade didn’t stop there. Omar went further, bizarrely criticizing President Trump for not showing “compassion” toward the murderer and those who encouraged him. “I did expect the president’s address to the nation would have been a lot more compassionate-filled, it would have been less partisan,” Omar said—apparently more concerned for the killer’s feelings than for Kirk’s grieving family or the safety of conservatives across the country.
Omar also dismissed the fact that the assassin’s rifle cartridges were engraved with Antifa and transgender slogans. Despite testimony from a former associate confirming the shooter’s far-left views, Omar downplayed the obvious ideological motive. She even scolded Trump for calling the killer a “left-wing lunatic,” claiming it “denigrated the status of the office he holds.”
Even more disturbingly, Omar suggested Kirk’s own words and beliefs made him partially responsible for his fate. She cited his support for the Second Amendment, his criticisms of Black Lives Matter, and his opposition to woke holidays like Juneteenth as reasons people should not feel sympathy. “Charlie was someone who once said ‘guns save lives’ after a school shooting,” Omar sneered, as if that justified cold-blooded assassination.
She then launched into a bitter rant against Republicans in general, accusing them of “inciting violence” and insisting that conservatives like Trump and Rep. Nancy Mace “want people like me not to exist in this country.” In short, Omar painted Kirk as a villain and conservatives as aggressors, all while a Trump ally lay dead from an act of politically motivated terrorism.
The backlash was immediate and fierce. Across social media, Americans called for Omar’s expulsion from Congress. Commentator Gunther Eagleman wrote, “Dear @SpeakerJohnson, Ilhan Omar needs to be expelled from Congress. After that, @RealTomHoman needs to have ICE pick her up and deport her back to Somalia, along with all the others in Minnesota. They are a threat to this nation. It’s that simple.”
Sean Davis of *The Federalist* echoed that sentiment, arguing, “Expelling Omar from Congress, denaturalizing her, and sending her back is the moderate position.” Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) was even more blunt: “The only terrorist here is Ilhan Omar. Denaturalize and DEPORT.”
Omar’s words prove yet again what many conservatives have warned for years: she is less interested in representing America than in undermining it from within. By excusing political violence and vilifying conservatives in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, she has crossed yet another red line.
The growing chorus calling for her removal is not just about one offensive interview—it’s about a pattern of hatred and contempt for this nation and its people. And for many Americans, enough is enough.
If you ever questioned just what kind of Somalian @IlhanMN is, this thread will say everything you need to know.
It's time to remove this legitimate threat from not only Congress but also America. Mehdi Hasan should be deported, too.
