Even though it’s hard to believe, kidnapping occurs frequently these days, even during the daytime. Four young children between the ages of five and eleven were shoved into a vehicle while they were walking to school. However, thanks to two attentive officers, they were rescued safely. This story is so unbelievable that it sounds like something straight out of a Hollywood film.

Fortunately, the abduction was recorded on a nearby Ring camera. This is the only video of the crime. You can hear screaming in the clip as the woman tells the youngest kid to get into the van because they were afraid of leaving their brother alone with these people. The older children went inside with him instead of leaving him outside by himself because they did not want to leave their brother alone with strangers.

It’s a haunting notion to consider what might have happened to the kids if they had not been rescued in time. Even though the children were obscured from view by a tree in the Ring camera footage, it was evident that they were there.

The kidnapper miscalculated, resulting in the failure of her plan…

While driving with the youngsters in the car, a mother ran a red light at an intersection. Two highly attentive cops were on duty when she drove through the red light. She was cruising through the red light, so they pulled her over.

The instant they got closer, it was evident that something wasn’t right.

Officer Parrish and Officer Flannel of the Detroit Police Department were conducting a routine stop when they spotted a huge van racing through a red light at high speed. They pulled over the driver and right away saw something was wrong.

The policemen spoke with the woman to discover what had occurred. It was a typical traffic stop for the cops, but what happened afterward prevented the deaths of four kids.

A police officer asked, “Are these your children?”

She replied, “yes.”

On the other hand, the kids had a different answer.

Detroit Police Chief James White addressed the situation during a press conference. He said that the woman claimed to be her children, but that the youngsters were shaking their heads ‘no.’

The woman explained to the police officers that she ran a red light because she was in a rush to get her kids to school.

When the cops asked her again about the school she and her son had attended, she couldn’t think of a convincing lie.

When the two cops asked the 11-year-old to get out of the car alone for questioning, they were able to ask the youngster if he knew her. The kid stated that they didn’t know her.

The police officers arrested the woman as soon as they received confirmation, and in the meantime, took the children out of her vehicle to safety.

Shayla Burleigh, the mother of the four children, was overjoyed by all who assisted in their rescue. She stated, “I just thank everyone involved that my children are back home safe.”

We often give police credit for their split-second decisions, but in this case, it was the kids’ quick thinking that saved all of their lives. Their younger brother was in trouble with a stranger, and they never allowed her to take him alone. They instinctively knew something was wrong and took action accordingly.
