Former First Lady Michelle Obama delivered what can only be described as an unhinged tirade Friday night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, hijacking what was supposed to be a book-promotion event and turning it into a grievance-laden attack on the country that made her a multimillionaire global celebrity.

Obama was there to promote her new book, *The Look*, a glossy coffee-table tribute to her wardrobe during her years in the White House. But instead of focusing on fashion, she used the stage to unload on America—and especially American men—for failing to embrace the Democratic Party’s deeply unpopular 2024 presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.

Rather than acknowledge the obvious—that Harris tanked because voters rejected her extremist policies, inept leadership, awkward cackle, and nonexistent accomplishments—Michelle Obama told the cheering Brooklyn crowd that America simply “ain’t ready” for a woman president.

“As we saw in this past election, sadly, we ain’t ready,” Obama declared, dismissing the will of tens of millions of voters with one petulant sentence.

She didn’t stop there. Claiming that Americans were “lying” about being open to electing a woman, Obama added, “That’s why I’m like, don’t even look at me about running, because you all are lying. You’re not ready for a woman. You are not.”

In other words: if Kamala Harris loses, it’s not Harris’s fault—it’s yours.

Obama then shifted her attack to men specifically, accusing them of being too insecure to handle a female president. “There’s still, sadly, a lot of men who do not feel like they can be led by a woman,” she lectured.

This from the same woman who spent eight years basking in lavish praise from the media, Hollywood, academia, and corporate America. A woman who left the White House to sign book deals reportedly worth tens of millions of dollars. A woman who is one of the most financially successful and culturally idolized figures in modern U.S. politics.

Yet somehow, America remains a backward, woman-hating wasteland—if you believe Michelle Obama.

Her comments reveal far more about Democratic elitism than they do about the American electorate. It’s not that voters are “not ready” for a female president. Voters simply weren’t ready for *Kamala Harris*—a candidate who couldn’t even win a single primary vote in 2020, dropped out before Iowa, and spent four years failing at every assignment handed to her.

Obama’s meltdown overshadowed what she was *supposed* to be promoting: a book celebrating her fashion choices. According to the description of *The Look*, the former first lady offers readers a behind-the-scenes look at how she crafted her public image with the help of an army of stylists, makeup artists, hairdressers, and designers.

In a summer post announcing the book, she complained that her appearance in the White House was constantly “dissected”—a strange grievance from someone who spent eight years on the cover of glossy magazines.

Michelle Obama’s latest outburst is yet another reminder of the deep entitlement that runs through the modern Democratic Party: when they lose, it must be America’s fault.

Voters simply aren’t buying it.
