Cyrus delivered a heartfelt performance during the funeral, paying tribute to Comperatore, a respected community member, father, and former fire chief.
Cyrus, known for his dedication to honoring first responders and military personnel, was seen mingling with law enforcement and posing for photos at the funeral in Cabot, Pennsylvania. This high-profile event, honoring a victim of political violence who was simply there to support his chosen presidential candidate, drew hundreds of attendees, underscoring the community’s profound respect and admiration for Comperatore.

In the immediate aftermath of the tragic event, Trump extended his condolences to the Comperatore family. He also praised the rapid response of the United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies. “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.”
Trump, who sustained an injury during the incident, recounted his experience: “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
