Conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly recently sounded off on the reported implosion of MSNBC, claiming that parent company Comcast is preparing to jettison the far-left network to salvage its reputation and stem a ratings freefall. In a fiery segment, O’Reilly accused Comcast of distancing itself from MSNBC to protect its more mainstream NBC News assets, calling the move a clear sign of the left-leaning media’s downfall.
O’Reilly opened by addressing reports that MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski recently visited President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago. The pair, infamous for years of inflammatory rhetoric against Trump, reportedly sought to repair relations.
“Here’s what happened with Joe and Mika,” O’Reilly said. “They were ordered to go to Mar-a-Lago by Comcast. Trump saw it for what it was: a desperate photo op. Comcast sent them to mend fences because they knew the network was about to implode.”
According to O’Reilly, Comcast’s real goal is to sever ties between NBC News and MSNBC, which he says has become a toxic brand dragging down NBC’s reputation. “They’re uncoupling MSNBC from NBC News,” he explained. “That means MSNBC has no resources. They can’t afford to keep paying millions to hosts pushing divisive, hateful rhetoric.”
O’Reilly argued that MSNBC’s overt bias and vitriolic commentary have alienated viewers across the political spectrum. “NBC News numbers are a catastrophe. Lester Holt, the Today Show—nobody’s watching because they equate NBC with MSNBC’s hatred for half the country.”
Expanding his analysis, O’Reilly predicted that other far-left legacy programs could soon face a similar fate, singling out ABC’s “The View.” “ABC News is going to have to cut ties with ‘The View.’ Did you see Sonny Hostin? She had to read a legal statement mid-show after her latest debacle. The lawyers are circling.”
O’Reilly didn’t hold back in his critique of MSNBC’s editorial slant, calling it not just leftist but openly hateful. “This isn’t just about being progressive. It’s about the venom. They hate Trump, they hate his voters, and everyone knows it.”
O’Reilly also speculated on where MSNBC’s dwindling audience might go. “CNN might pick up some viewers, but they’re on the ropes too. NewsNation may be the real beneficiary here, positioning itself as a saner alternative in a fractured media landscape.”
The collapse of MSNBC, O’Reilly argued, is emblematic of a larger reckoning for legacy media. Once dominant networks like NBC, ABC, and CNN are now scrambling to save face as Americans reject the biased narratives they’ve peddled for years. “This is Dracula’s stake in the heart for far-left networks. Done. Never coming back.”
As MSNBC teeters on the brink and its parent company prepares to cut ties, it seems the American public has had enough of divisive, agenda-driven media. For conservatives, it’s a long-overdue reckoning—and a sign that the tides may finally be turning in the battle for cultural and political sanity.
