Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is once again making headlines—not for policy achievements, but for fueling radical opposition to President Trump’s efforts to rein in the bloated federal government and enforce immigration laws. At a recent public protest, AOC railed against the administration’s cost-cutting initiatives and took particular aim at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a new agency tasked with eliminating government waste.
AOC’s Latest Stunt: Encouraging Resistance to Trump’s Reforms
Speaking to a fired-up crowd, the far-left “Squad” member urged her supporters to disrupt government operations, encouraging them to challenge DOGE’s authority.
“Every day our job is to wake up and say, ‘What can I do today?’” she declared, attempting to rally her base against Trump’s reforms.
But AOC didn’t stop at general opposition—she went so far as to tell the crowd to obstruct DOGE officials trying to do their jobs.
“When they try to come in, make them show a warrant, make them show a document, make them assert their authority. Ask them, ‘Who are you? Who are you? At the end of the day, they’re no one,’” she instructed.
That’s right—according to AOC, hardworking federal employees tasked with reducing government waste are “no one.” Meanwhile, she had plenty to say about Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur working to make DOGE more effective.
“He’s running around because he thinks he’s got a bank account with a lot of zeros in it, that it makes him some kind of super citizen. I don’t think so. This is America,” she ranted.
It seems AOC believes that financial success and business acumen should disqualify someone from helping fix government inefficiency—a bizarre stance from a lawmaker who champions massive government expansion at every turn.
AOC Under Investigation for Encouraging Illegal Immigration
AOC’s reckless behavior isn’t just limited to obstructing Trump’s efficiency initiatives—she’s also facing scrutiny for allegedly interfering with federal immigration enforcement. The American Tribune recently reported that former Trump administration border czar Tom Homan has indicated she may be under investigation for helping illegal immigrants evade deportation.
The controversy erupted after AOC hosted a webinar that some see as an attempt to instruct illegal immigrants on how to avoid apprehension. In a social media post, she practically admitted her intentions, writing:
“Our strategic advantage in this moment is our strength in numbers. It is time to use it. In nearly every way, we outnumber those who want to abuse their power and keep people in fear.”
She also encouraged people to share posters and keep them in their homes or workplaces in case ICE agents show up, effectively promoting resistance to lawful enforcement efforts.
Is AOC Breaking the Law? DOJ Is Looking Into It
Homan, a veteran of immigration enforcement, is raising serious legal concerns over AOC’s actions.
“At what level is that impediment? Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts?” he asked, pointing out that her public encouragement of defiance could be crossing legal lines.
He confirmed that he is working with the Department of Justice to investigate whether AOC’s actions amount to obstruction of justice.
“Maybe AOC’s gonna be in trouble now,” he concluded.
Radical Rhetoric and Dangerous Consequences
This is nothing new for Ocasio-Cortez, whose entire political career has been built on rabble-rousing and grandstanding. Whether she’s stoking anti-government sentiment, demonizing successful entrepreneurs, or actively aiding illegal immigrants in avoiding deportation, one thing remains clear—AOC prioritizes her radical agenda over the rule of law.
