Far-left Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a leading voice in the radical “Squad,” just made a stunning admission that should concern every American who believes in the rule of law. In an interview on NPR’s *Up First* with host Steve Inskeep, AOC effectively confirmed that she has been aiding illegal immigrants—something that former ICE Director Tom Homan had previously accused her of, prompting her usual outrage.

During the conversation, Inskeep brought up the growing public frustration with illegal immigration, noting that many Americans feel Democrats are not serious about the issue. Rather than addressing the crisis in any meaningful way, AOC quickly pivoted to her usual talking points, blaming Republicans for the mess that her own party has allowed to spiral out of control.

“I think that we have a problem on immigration because of the lack of progress that we’ve had on this issue. And as we know, Republicans weaponize that lack of progress,” she claimed, completely ignoring the fact that it is her party that refuses to secure the border. She then went on to falsely assert that Republicans are “completely uninterested in addressing undocumented people.”

Inskeep pushed back, pointing out that the GOP has a very clear solution: deport illegal immigrants. AOC scoffed at the idea, lamenting that Republicans actually want to enforce the law. “Well, they do want to address undocumented people by removing them. I mean, that’s what the president is attempting now,” she admitted, referring to Biden’s election-year scramble to appear tough on illegal immigration.

She then attempted to smear GOP efforts, particularly the Laken Riley Act, which is designed to protect American citizens from dangerous illegal immigrants. Instead of acknowledging the tragic murder of Laken Riley at the hands of an illegal alien, AOC outrageously claimed that the bill “guts due process” and allows people to be deported simply for being accused of a crime.

When Inskeep pointed out that illegal immigration has become a political disaster for Democrats, AOC doubled down on her radical open-border ideology. She bizarrely suggested that the way to win over voters is to hand out citizenship to illegal immigrants. “I think that a lack of a path to citizenship in the United States, the lack of addressing comprehensive immigration reform creates a large population of undocumented people in the United States, and that is allowed to be weaponized in many ways,” she argued.

She continued by downplaying the crisis at the southern border, insisting that “overwhelmingly, [illegal immigration] is not because they crossed the southern border of the United States. It’s because they came here in a documented fashion and overstayed a visa.” This is a blatant attempt to distract from the fact that millions have poured across the border under the Biden administration, many of whom have been caught committing violent crimes.

Inskeep then confronted AOC with the reality that voters in swing states like Arizona and even deep-blue Colorado are fed up with the lawlessness. “You have voters saying, ‘There’s a lot of chaos. There’s a lot of lawlessness. I don’t know what to do here. Who’s looking out after me?’” he said.

Rather than acknowledging the legitimate concerns of working-class Americans, AOC launched into a predictable tirade about the “social safety net,” arguing that people only blame illegal immigration because they are struggling economically. “When that is paired with divestment from the social safety net, when that is paired with lack of progress on minimum wage, when that is paired with rising costs of living, it sets the stage for a strongman to point to any marginalized group and say it’s their fault,” she ranted.

But it was in the final part of the interview that AOC made her most shocking admission. Inskeep directly confronted her about her public dispute with Tom Homan, former acting ICE director and current Biden administration border czar. Homan had previously accused AOC of hosting events to inform illegal immigrants on how to avoid deportation, an allegation she aggressively denied at the time.

Inskeep asked her outright, “You held an online forum, a know-your-rights forum that [Homan] didn’t like. What were you doing? What was your goal as you saw it?”

Without hesitation, AOC confirmed that she had been giving illegal immigrants advice on how to avoid deportation. “I was informing all of my constituents of their constitutional protections, and, in particular, their constitutional protections against illegal search and seizure in the United States,” she admitted. In other words, she sees illegal immigrants as part of her voter base—despite the fact that they are not American citizens.

When pressed further, Inskeep noted that Homan was furious because she appeared to be actively aiding people who were breaking U.S. immigration law. “Homan was upset, I suppose, because he felt that you were giving advice to people who were here illegally. Were you?” he asked.

Her response? “I was giving advice to all of my constituents, yeah.”

This is a stunning and deeply troubling confession. A sitting member of Congress is openly admitting to helping illegal immigrants game the system. Worse yet, she seems to think there is nothing wrong with it.

Inskeep then revealed that Homan had taken the matter seriously enough to report it to the Department of Justice. “He said he was going to report you or even that he did reach out to the Department of Justice. Have you heard from the Department of Justice?” he asked.

AOC said she hadn’t but intended to follow up, demanding to know if the DOJ would actually investigate her. “Well, there is a member of the Trump administration who is threatening and seeks to open an inquiry. And are you going to do it?” she said defiantly.

The fact that AOC has not only been caught but has now admitted to aiding illegal immigrants raises serious legal and ethical questions. How much longer will Democrats allow their party to be hijacked by radical activists who prioritize illegal immigrants over American citizens? And will the DOJ take action against a member of Congress who is actively working against U.S. immigration laws?

One thing is clear: voters have had enough of the lawlessness, and AOC’s open-border extremism is only further alienating the very people she claims to represent.
