“I could tell the conversation wasn’t going well,” McCright recalled. “I said, ‘Sir, she wants you to go back to your seat.’ That’s when he turned and shouted, ‘I’m getting off this flight! I want off this flight!’” McCright’s calm intervention wasn’t enough to stop the man, who escalated the situation by attempting to breach the cabin door while physically assaulting the flight attendant.
At that moment, McCright and fellow passenger Charlie Boris sprang into action, tackling the man and preventing further chaos. “It was really a fight or flight situation,” Boris explained. “But we all came together as a team, and we made sure we got to go home to our families for Thanksgiving.”

Authorities responded quickly once the flight landed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where the unruly passenger was taken into police custody. A spokesperson from DFW Airport confirmed that the passenger was arrested and that an investigation is ongoing.
