Alec Baldwin is currently on the road to recovery following a successful hip replacement surgery, as confirmed by his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. The renowned yoga instructor and podcaster, aged 39, took to social media on Tuesday to share a heartwarming snapshot.

In the photo, Hilaria can be seen comfortably lying in bed beside her beloved husband, Alec, who is dressed in a hospital gown. Their smiles radiate positivity and reassurance as they embark on this healing journey together.

“Alec got a new hip today,” Hilaria Baldwin posted on Instagram. “We have been through so much together … as your partner and as you heal. I want so very much for you to leave this very intense chronic pain chapter behind and improve your quality of life.”

In her post, she took the opportunity to express her heartfelt gratitude to the team of dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff who worked tirelessly to “bringing him safely through this.”

Furthermore, Alec himself added a statement of appreciation in the comment section, extending his thanks to his wife, saying, “And you. Thanks to you…” Their unwavering support for one another shines through during this challenging time.

In a series of events marred by controversy, Alec Baldwin’s recent surgery comes just weeks after the completion of filming his movie “Rust.” This production has been overshadowed by a tragic incident that took place on set.

Tragically, the movie’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, lost her life when Baldwin fired a prop gun in her direction during the filming of the Western in 2021. It occurred during a rehearsal, as Baldwin pointed the pistol at Hutchins, resulting in the gun discharging and causing her death. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident. Baldwin, who served as a producer on the film, maintains that the gun discharged accidentally and that he did not pull the trigger. However, an FBI forensic report concluded that the weapon could only have been fired if the trigger was pulled.

Following the tragic on-set death, legal proceedings ensued as authorities delved into determining liability for the untimely passing of Halyna Hutchins. Initially, charges were filed against Alec Baldwin, only to be dropped in April. However, the film’s weapons supervisor, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, still faces involuntary manslaughter charges. It is important to note that the decision to drop the charges against Baldwin does not absolve him of potential criminal culpability, leaving the possibility for charges to be refiled.

Amidst these circumstances, Baldwin took to Instagram on May 16 to mark the conclusion of filming. In a celebratory selfie, he revealed that he had shaved off his character’s facial hair from the Western film, expressing the relief by captioning the post with, “God, it felt good to shave off that beard…”

During that time, Baldwin also shared an Instagram Story reposted from his on-set son Lucas, portrayed by Patrick Scott McDermott. The Story featured a heartfelt hug between the two, with McDermott writing, “Alec’s last day. I’ll miss you.”

As of now, a specific release date for the film has not been announced.
