When even NBC starts calling out Democrats, you know the dam is breaking.
In a remarkable moment of rare media accountability, Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) was grilled on national television about what millions of Americans have suspected for years — that the Democratic Party knowingly lied to the public about Joe Biden’s severe cognitive decline. The confrontation happened Sunday, April 6, on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” and Schiff, one of the party’s top spin doctors, could barely keep his story straight.
NBC host Kristen Welker, citing bombshell claims from author Chris Whipple’s new book, didn’t mince words. According to Whipple, Biden’s former chief of staff, Ron Klain, was “stunned” by how far gone the president was during the debate prep leading up to his disastrous face-off with President Trump. Klain reportedly found Biden confused about key issues, unfocused, and even napping by the pool during sessions.
In short: while the Biden administration assured Americans that everything was fine, behind the scenes, they were panicking. And they lied — deliberately and repeatedly — to voters who had every right to know whether the leader of the free world was mentally fit to serve.
When Welker asked the obvious question — “Do you think that former President Biden’s advisors misled the American people about his capacities?” — Schiff had nothing. No defense. No clarity. Just the usual rambling.
“You know, it’s hard for me to gauge what the closest advisors to the president were seeing at the time,” Schiff began, dodging any semblance of responsibility. “I can only speak to the interactions that I had with him, which were, you know… largely ceremonial occasions.”
Translation: “I didn’t see anything because I wasn’t paying attention — and please don’t hold me accountable.”
Instead of owning up to the deception, Schiff pivoted to praising Vice President Kamala Harris — the same Kamala who tanked in the 2020 primaries, has a lower approval rating than her predecessor, and has spent more time word-salading her way through speeches than solving real issues.
Then Schiff pulled out the tired talking points about Americans “hurting” — as if that somehow justifies hiding the truth about Biden’s condition. “This is a frankly decades-in-the-making problem,” he said, shifting the focus to vague economic woes rather than the Democrats’ blatant dishonesty.
Let’s be clear: Democrats didn’t just misjudge Biden’s capacity — they covered it up. They gaslit the public. They dismissed legitimate concerns about the president’s mental state as “right-wing conspiracy theories.” And when the truth became undeniable, they spun it as bravery that Biden finally stepped aside.
Americans deserve better than a party that lies to retain power and then acts surprised when they lose the public’s trust.
Schiff’s stumbling interview only confirmed what we already knew: the Democrats were willing to prop up a man visibly unfit for office just to keep their grip on power. Now that the truth is out, they’re scrambling to rewrite history.
But the American people remember. And come November, they won’t forget.
