Senator Adam Schiff, the Democrat darling of the resistance Left and longtime anti-Trump mouthpiece, had nothing to say this week when confronted over serious allegations of mortgage fraud. In classic swamp fashion, Schiff clammed up when a Fox News Digital reporter questioned him about claims that he lied about his primary residence to secure a better mortgage deal — a potential federal crime.

The drama unfolded after President Trump took to Truth Social, exposing what he described as a years-long scam perpetrated by the California senator. Trump cited a whistleblower report from 2024, which alleges that Schiff falsely claimed his primary residence was in Maryland in order to secure a more favorable mortgage, despite the fact that — as a member of Congress representing California — he was legally required to live in the Golden State.

“I have always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a scam artist,” President Trump wrote. “Now I learn that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division has concluded that Adam Schiff has engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud.”

Trump went on to lay out the timeline, alleging that Schiff began defrauding the system as far back as 2009. “The FRAUD began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009, and continued through multiple transactions until the Maryland property was correctly designated as a second home on October 13, 2020.”

According to Trump, Schiff’s maneuver allowed him to “rip off America” by securing financial advantages that would otherwise be unavailable — all while preaching accountability to everyone else in Washington.

When confronted by a Fox News reporter with straightforward questions about these very serious allegations, Schiff’s response? Silence. The same man who never stops talking when it comes to dragging President Trump through one witch hunt after another suddenly had nothing to say when the spotlight turned on him.

Instead of answering for what looks like textbook mortgage fraud, Schiff retreated to his favorite echo chamber: X (formerly Twitter). There, he framed the allegations not as a matter of public accountability, but as political revenge from a president he’s obsessed with impeaching.

“Since I led his first impeachment, Trump has repeatedly called for me to be arrested for treason,” Schiff posted, trying to play the victim card. He called the allegations “baseless” and accused Trump of “political retribution” — a tired refrain we’ve heard every time Democrats get caught red-handed.

But here’s the problem for Schiff: the allegations are detailed, time-stamped, and supported by whistleblower testimony. And no amount of angry tweeting or media spin will make them disappear.

Schiff even tried to deflect by dragging up the Epstein files — a desperate tactic to change the subject and fire up his base. But Americans are paying attention. They see the double standards, the hypocrisy, and the lack of accountability for elites like Schiff.

If this were a Republican senator caught lying about their residence to game the mortgage system, Democrats would be calling for resignation, prosecution, and public humiliation. But because it’s one of their own — and a loud opponent of Trump — they’re circling the wagons.

President Trump said it best: “Mortgage Fraud is very serious, and CROOKED Adam Schiff needs to be brought to justice.” The American people deserve answers — and accountability.
