Democrats love to accuse others of political intimidation, but when the spotlight turns on their own allies, the panic is almost comical. Case in point: Senator Adam Schiff’s embarrassing performance on NBC’s *Meet the Press*, where the California Democrat had a full-blown meltdown over the FBI’s raid on former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton’s home.
The raid has raised eyebrows across the political spectrum, and when anchor Kristen Welker asked Schiff whether Americans should let the investigation play out, Schiff launched into a tirade that revealed more about his own paranoia than anything about the case itself.
Schiff, visibly rattled, insisted the search was nothing less than “retribution” from President Trump, calling it “systemic and systematic.” Ironically, the same man who spent years pushing the Russia hoax—abusing his committee power to smear Trump with baseless accusations—is suddenly shocked at the idea of government agencies being used as political weapons.
“What the President is trying to do here is very systemic and systematic,” Schiff whined. “Anyone who stands up to the President, anyone who criticized the President, anyone who says anything adverse the President’s interests, gets the full weight of the federal government brought down on them.”
The California Democrat, who has built a career out of demonizing conservatives, doubled down on defending Bolton—a man he once despised until he became politically useful. Schiff claimed, “If you’re John Bolton, you get your home seized. If you’re on the Federal Reserve and you won’t lower interest rates, you get threatened with prosecution or with firing.”
The list of grievances went on and on. Schiff painted himself as a noble defender of truth while describing scenarios where supposedly anyone from generals to economists could face retaliation. The irony? Schiff conveniently ignored the fact that under Democrats, the FBI, DOJ, and intelligence agencies were weaponized against Trump and his supporters from the start. From the illegal spying on Trump’s 2016 campaign to the raid on Mar-a-Lago, conservatives have been the real victims of systemic abuse.
But Schiff’s rant didn’t stop there. He concluded with a familiar, tired script: Trump is supposedly trying to silence any critic. “They’re essentially going after any critic, any opposition in an effort to intimidate them,” Schiff said.
What Schiff really fears, though, is accountability. Conservatives online wasted no time pointing it out. “Panic 😱 and lies 🤥 – he knows he’s probably next,” one commenter quipped. Another was blunter: “It couldn’t happen to a more worthy gentleman than this scumbag Schiffhead.”

The meltdown was classic Schiff—dramatic, hypocritical, and completely detached from reality. The man who weaponized congressional hearings to spread lies about Trump now cries foul when one of his political allies gets caught in the federal government’s crosshairs.
The bottom line: Schiff isn’t worried about John Bolton. He’s worried about himself. And if his frantic rant on *Meet the Press* is any indication, he knows the jig is up.
