A prominent Hollywood actor, known for his roles in beloved films such as “Real Genius” and “Karate Kid III,” has found himself entangled in a disturbing controversy involving alleged illicit online behavior.
Gabriel Jarret, 53, stands accused of sending sexually explicit messages to an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. However, the truth is that he was ensnared in a decoy account meticulously set up by the Creep Catcher Unit, an organization dedicated to unveiling online predators.
According to sources, Jarret, famous for his portrayal of Mitch Taylor alongside Val Kilmer in the 1985 hit “Real Genius,” had scheduled a meeting with the supposed teenager in Santa Monica, California. Screenshots of their conversations, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, shed light on the disturbing intentions behind this rendezvous.
But when Jarret arrived at the designated location, he was met not by the innocent teen he had anticipated but by the ‘CC Unit’ frontman, who goes by the alias ‘Ghost,’ along with a cameraman. The encounter was fraught with tension as they confronted Jarret about his messages. While being recorded, he claimed that he believed the girl to be of legal age and asserted that he was merely meeting her to admonish her for persistently messaging him.
The vigilantes, however, had a different story to tell. They disclosed to DailyMail.com that they had been engaging with Jarret, posing as an underage teenage girl, for over a year before confronting him.
Jarret boasts an impressive filmography, with roles in blockbusters like “Apollo 13” and “Last Days,” as well as appearances in popular TV shows such as “21 Jump Street,” “L.A. Law,” “Party of Five,” and “The West Wing.” He has also led an LA-based rock band known as The Unknown.
The alleged illicit communication began in May of the previous year when the decoy account, ‘Cindy,’ informed him that she was only 13 years old. Subsequent exchanges, captured in screenshots, reveal deeply unsettling content as Jarret inquired about her experiences and made explicit remarks.
When confronted on camera, Jarret vehemently denied sending those disturbing messages, asserting, “I’m not meeting a 13-year-old girl. I’ve got someone that was calling me again and again, and I told her again and again, you know, you need to stop this. And she started getting insistent, whatever. And I’m here to tell her to stop. She said she was 18.”
Following their encounter, the vigilantes promptly reported the incident to the Santa Monica police, though there has been no immediate response to inquiries from DailyMail.com.
The text messages shared by the CC Unit with DailyMail.com date back to May 26, 2022, with Jarret initially addressing ‘Cindy’ in a questionable manner. The phone number used by the decoy account corresponds to one Jarret had previously disclosed on Los Angeles court documents in 2018.
The exchanged messages, if accurate, paint a disturbing picture of Jarret’s alleged grooming of the supposed 13-year-old, soliciting information about her sexual experiences.
This isn’t the first time the Hollywood star has been embroiled in such allegations. Court documents from 2018 reveal accusations of pedophilia, drug dealing, and rape made against Jarret by his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Alfano during a heated altercation. Ultimately, he secured a restraining order against her.
Jarret’s past actions have also shown support for friends facing sexual harassment allegations, a contentious stance in the era of heightened awareness around such issues.
