Snowstorms can cause a lot of trouble for people. Increased traffic, dangerous driving conditions, power outages, the list goes on.

On man took advantage of a heavy blizzard to construct the greatest igloo ever seen.

It took a lot of time, but this man’s igloo looks like a five-star hotel.

The first sign that this is not a regular igloo is the sliding door that gives access to the spacious interior.

Hardwood floors and flickering candles give the opening hallway a romantic aura.

A bookshelf sits perched on one of the snowy walls, complete with books and a unique bookend- a wooden squirrel statue. Close by the bookshelf is a mini bar for refreshments while reading a good book.

Continuing deeper into the icy home, a workout room complete with free weights lies illuminated by a lantern.

The bedroom is just a little further into the icy igloo, sporting a twin sized bed and a bedside refrigerator built into the snowy walls of the room.

The igloo is much larger on the inside than it appears on the outside, and it provides a comfortable living situation for those that don’t mind the cold too much.

There’s not a lot of things to do when a blizzard swallows the town, but this man decided to create his own ice palace, and it turned out well for him.

Lots of time and effort went into the construction, but it was well worth it.
