Rather than focus on the attacker, Dilanian launched into a rant about Americans supposedly being “uncomfortable” with uniformed personnel in their own capital.
Talking to Katy Tur on MS NOW, he said:
“There’s so much controversy happening in the United States right now with ICE… people walking around with uniforms in an American city. There are some Americans that might object to that. And so apparently this shooting has happened.”
In other words:
MSNBC’s takeaway wasn’t outrage at the terrorist…
But skepticism about U.S. troops trying to keep D.C. safe.
