Following a major operation in the U.S. to treat her endometriosis, Bindi Irwin has treated her fans with an update on how she is doing now.
The 24-year-old Wildlife Warrior reported she was improving and healing in the comfort of her own home.
Taking to social media, the mom-of-one proudly displayed a photo of her cuddling up with an abundance of red roses – presumably presented to her by her adoring husband Chandler Powell.
Bindi expressed her gratitude for all of the fans’ support and revealed that she had been reading about their endometriosis battles on her social media.
During the surgery performed by her surgeon at Seckin Endometriosis Center in New York City, Crikey! It’s the Irwins star underwent a total of 37 lesion removals and an extraction of what is referred to as a ‘chocolate cyst’, which is essentially filled with menstrual blood.
“Healing. I have spent the week reading your kind words and stories of strength through your own experiences with endometriosis. Thank you with all my heart for sharing,” she posted.
“I can finally see a new me on the journey towards better health. I can’t wait to be able to focus all my energy on our family and the conservation work we are so passionate about.”

Last week, Bindi stunned her supporters when she announced that she had been diagnosed with endometriosis and underwent a major surgical procedure.
From her hospital bed, she shared an image to heighten awareness and aid other females who may be dealing with the same condition.
She decided to speak up because she wanted to emphasize the neglect of this condition by some medical practitioners; for instance, one doctor had even gone so far as to say that her pain was a normal part of womanhood.
“For ten years I’ve struggled with insurmountable fatigue, pain and nausea. Trying to remain a positive person and hide the pain has been a very long road,” she said.
“These last ten years have included many tests, doctors visits, scans, etc.”
“A doctor told me it was simply something you deal with as a woman and I gave up entirely, trying to function through the pain.”
“I didn’t find answers until a friend, Leslie Mosier, helped set me on a path of regaining my life. I decided to undergo surgery for endometriosis.”
She confessed that the thought of surgery was truly frightening, but she realized she couldn’t stay in her current state. Every aspect of her life had been completely disrupted because of the pain and discomfort.
After Bindi regained consciousness following her surgery, the surgeon’s initial words to her were: “How did you live with this much pain?”
She expressed that the validation she received from a medical professional after years of feeling dismissed by doctors was an immense relief. Furthermore, she thanked her family and friends for their support as they encouraged her to seek out answers.
“Thank you to the doctors and nurses who believed my pain,’ she added. ‘I’m on the road to recovery and the gratitude I feel is overwhelming.”
“To those questioning the canceled plans, unanswered messages and absence – I had been pouring every ounce of the energy I had left into our daughter and family,” she stated.
Bindi and her husband Chandler Powell are immensely grateful to have their daughter, Grace Warrior, who will be turning two this month. She is truly a blessing that has enriched their lives beyond measure.
With a passion for empowering women, Bindi encouraged her followers to reflect before inquiring women “when they’ll be having more children”. The star uttered her gratitude for being showered with the blessing of Grace, as she was unsure if there were any fertility issues that may have arisen.
“Things may look fine on the outside looking in through the window of someone’s life, however, that is not always the case,” Bindi said.
“Please be gentle and pause before asking me – or any woman – when we’ll be having more children. After all that my body has gone through, I feel tremendously grateful that we have our gorgeous daughter. She feels like our family’s miracle,” she stated.
Endometriosis is an excruciatingly painful medical condition in which the tissue resembling that found within the uterus walls develops outside of it, leading to potential difficulties with fertility and extreme discomfort.
IVF Australia has revealed that endometriosis can lower a woman’s odds of conceiving.
“Severe endometriosis can distort the tubes and ovaries and can block the egg’s release by causing scar tissue or cysts. However, while mild endometriosis is, in some cases, associated with infertility, how this happens is not known,” the organization says on its website.
Despite the unavoidable repercussions of Endometriosis, women can still have a fighting chance of conceiving naturally as highlighted by this website.

On September 4, 2006, Steve Irwin experienced a fateful end while filming on the Great Barrier Reef – he was tragically killed after being pierced in the chest by a stingray at just 44 years of age. Admired internationally as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, his legacy lives eternally through those who knew and loved him around the world.
