Quick take
Australian model Sahara Ray died at 34 after a reported fentanyl overdose in Los Angeles.

Sahara Ray died at 34 after a reported fentanyl overdose in Los Angeles. She overdosed on a Friday and was taken to a hospital where she was placed on life support. Her family removed her from life support two days later.
The New York Post reported the initial finding of a fentanyl overdose. No coroner or law enforcement agency has confirmed the cause. It remains unclear if the overdose was accidental.
Ray's family told TMZ she passed away surrounded by relatives at the hospital. She had built a swimwear brand called Sahara Ray Swim after studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
The model dated several public figures over the years. She was photographed with Justin Bieber in Hawaii in 2016. She was also linked to Cody Simpson and later appeared with Mod Sun at a fashion event.
Ray survived a serious car accident in April 2024. A drunk driver hit her vehicle at high speed and she developed Guillain-Barré syndrome. The condition left her paralyzed from the thighs down.
She gave birth to a daughter named Snow Ray Dow in January. Her last Instagram post in July showed photos of the baby and called her the whole heart.
Ray grew up splitting time between California, Australia, and Hawaii. She was the daughter of Australian surfer Tony Ray.
