Donnie Wahlberg Credits Pilots and Jesus After Jet Skids Off Las Vegas Runway
Quick take
Donnie Wahlberg and seven others walked away unharmed when their private jet ran off the runway in Las Vegas.

Donnie Wahlberg escaped injury when his private jet skidded off runway 1L at Harry Reid International Airport on October 18. The plane carried the actor and seven others after his final New Kids on the Block show in Las Vegas. It never left the ground and struck the perimeter fence.
Wahlberg posted a video describing the aborted takeoff as intense. He said the aircraft avoided trucks and heavy equipment near the runway end before hitting the last fence. No one aboard suffered harm.
The former New Kids on the Block singer praised his pilots for preventing a worse outcome. He stated that God covered the group and kept them safe through the moments of danger. Wahlberg also thanked emergency crews who responded quickly at the airport.
His wife Jenny McCarthy replied to the post with her own note of relief. Airport officials confirmed the incident occurred around 11 a.m. and noted that both runways 1L and 1R closed briefly for inspections.
The plane sustained damage during the slide but carried no passengers or crew to the hospital. Wahlberg repeated that the pilots did an outstanding job under pressure and avoided a serious disaster.
The FAA opened an investigation into the flight that had been headed toward Toronto. Wahlberg closed his message by giving thanks for the outcome and repeating his praise for divine protection.
Officials reported no known injuries among the eight people on board. The event left the aircraft with visible marks while the passengers walked away intact.
