The Trump Administration is taking a hardline stance against violent anti-ICE protesters and their financial backers, vowing to hold lawbreakers accountable for attacks on federal immigration officers. Border Czar Tom Homan made the firm warning during an appearance on Fox News’ *Sunday Morning Futures* with guest host Jason Chaffetz on September 7, signaling a no-nonsense approach to protecting those enforcing America’s borders.

Homan’s comments came in response to the shocking and ongoing riots in Portland, Oregon, where protesters have effectively placed an ICE facility under siege and even paraded a guillotine outside the building, threatening federal agents with death. “You throw a stone, you’re going to jail. You put hands on an ICE officer, you’re going to jail. You make a threat – online or in person – you’re going to jail,” Homan declared, leaving no room for ambiguity.

While peaceful protests remain protected under the First Amendment, Homan made it clear that violent actions targeting ICE agents and facilities will not be tolerated. “This is about public safety and enforcing the law,” he said. “We will not allow anarchists and radicals to terrorize federal officers or disrupt the enforcement of immigration laws.”

Homan went further, highlighting the Trump Administration’s efforts to track down the financiers behind the riots. He revealed that authorities are investigating individuals and organizations funding violent operations and supplying weapons to protesters. “There’s a whole effort right now identifying those who are funding these operations, those who fund the weapons that are being used,” Homan said. “And they’ll be held accountable too and held to the highest standards of the law. They will be prosecuted.”

The Border Czar didn’t spare the politicians who’ve been critical of ICE, particularly members of Congress who wrote the very laws that ICE enforces. “If ICE is racist for enforcing the law, what does that make them?” Homan asked, criticizing lawmakers who attack federal officers while failing to legislate solutions. He continued, “Members of Congress, everyone that wants to attack ICE is disgusting. They’re an embarrassment to the position they hold. If they don’t like what ICE is doing, then do your job and legislate.”

Homan concluded by reaffirming ICE’s commitment to national security and public safety, emphasizing that the agency will continue aggressive enforcement until Congress stops obstructing law enforcement. “Until then, President Trump and the men and women of ICE are going to continue to prioritize public safety threats and national security threats and make this country safer every day,” he said.

With Homan’s tough stance, the Trump Administration is sending a clear message: violent anti-ICE mobs and the elites who fund them will no longer operate with impunity. The era of coddling lawbreakers and treating federal officers as villains is over — and America’s public safety will be the top priority.
