The model Cristina Szeifert became famous for her modeling work on Instagram, but she’s now in the news for being a painter.

The issue is that people doubt that she painted the works that she shows herself painting. The reason why they think this is that she’s often showing herself with a brush out, ready to work on the finished paintings while wearing nice clothes. Some people find it strange that someone would paint in nice clothes. Cristina responds to this by saying that she poses with the finished painting after she does it.

In other words, she says that she painted the paintings, but she’s not taking the pictures as she’s painting them in dirty clothes. She is a model after all. Instead, she goes and gets cleaned up and puts on more flattering clothes before taking the pictures. Cristina also says she has videos on her phone of painting just about all of them.

Cristina describes herself as an artist, model, and psychologist. She’s a public figure and has over 33,000 followers on Instagram, so she cares about her public image. The model goes on to say that painting is something she does because she enjoys it, and not to make money. She reasons that many of her critics are just jealous when they criticize parts of her paintings and photos, such as when they say that her palette never changes.

They also criticize the way she’s holding the palette, and the colors she chose. Cristina said that the palette she holds in the photos is just a symbol of art, and not necessarily how she creates the art functionally. Much of what she does uses other methods like watercolors or pouring paint.

The palette is just a stylistic choice for the photo. Cristina hopes that this explanation will help people leave her along on Instagram. She says that she has a diploma in International Art in Romania. She also went to school for psychology. The artist goes on to emphasize how she does it out of passion and not as a business since she already has plenty of other businesses.

The artist finds it strange that people are obsessing so much about the veracity of her art, or why they are so negative. Many of the comments come from Reddit or Instagram comments. There are many comments there accusing her of not drawing her paintings or of being a fake painter. Cristina has provided journalists with the videos of her painting live. She’s also provided pictures of the actual paints she uses and other different parts of her process such as from her workstation. The messy nature of the photos is something that Cristina emphasizes while talking about it. Cristina says that it should be obvious why she doesn’t post her process to Instagram since it’s so unsightly. It’s up to the individual to believe or disbelieve her, but artists that have degrees and can show videos of their work are generally the real thing.
