Phil Robertson, the unapologetically Christian patriarch of the “Duck Dynasty” family and a true American original, has gone home to be with the Lord at the age of 79. His passing was announced by his family on Sunday, marking the end of a remarkable life rooted in faith, freedom, and family values.

Robertson, who rose to national fame as the bearded founder of the Duck Commander hunting brand and star of the hit A\&E show *Duck Dynasty*, was much more than a reality TV personality. He was a devout Christian, a cultural truth-teller, and a man who stood firm in his convictions—even when it cost him dearly in the court of public opinion.

“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” wrote daughter-in-law Korie Robertson on Instagram, quoting Scripture to remind the faithful not to grieve as the world grieves, but to hope in the promise of Christ.

While the family will hold a private service to mourn and remember, they plan to invite the public to a celebration of Phil’s life in the near future. “Thank you for the love and prayers of so many whose lives have been impacted by his life saved by grace, his bold faith, and by his desire to tell everyone who would listen the Good News of Jesus,” Korie added.

Before he became a household name, Phil Robertson had already lived enough life to fill a dozen books. A standout quarterback at Louisiana Tech, he famously started ahead of NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw—but chose duck hunting and a simpler life over fame and fortune. In 1972, he founded Duck Commander, a duck call company that later served as the launching pad for *Duck Dynasty*, which aired from 2012 to 2017 and became a cultural phenomenon.

Unlike the virtue-signaling elites of Hollywood, the Robertsons made no apologies for their traditional values. Phil, in particular, drew the ire of the left for speaking openly about biblical principles and the importance of family, faith, and the Constitution. He took the hits and never backed down.

In recent years, Robertson had been quietly battling a number of serious health issues, including Alzheimer’s disease, a blood disorder, and a fractured back. In a December episode of the family podcast *Unashamed*, the family revealed Phil’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis and ongoing health struggles.

“He’s battling a lot of different things right now,” son Willie Robertson told Fox News Digital. “It’s been tough, but we’re trusting God and doing our best to make him comfortable.”

Jase Robertson, another son, was candid in April about his father’s condition: “We’re making him comfortable and we’re doing the best we can. I think that’s just what you do.”

Now, Phil is at peace. His legacy—as a strong Christian man who refused to bend the knee to political correctness—will live on through his family, his fans, and the millions of Americans he inspired to stand tall for their values.

Phil Robertson didn’t just live the American Dream. He lived the *right* kind of dream—one rooted in faith, freedom, and fearlessness.

Rest in peace, brother. We’ll see you again on the other side.
