Things are heating up fast inside the Trump Administration, and the firestorm is centered on one of the most controversial topics of the last decade: the Epstein files. At the center of it all is FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, a trusted MAGA loyalist and fighter, who has reportedly threatened to resign if Attorney General Pam Bondi isn’t shown the door after what’s being called a stunning mishandling of the long-awaited Epstein disclosures.
And he’s not alone — the MAGA base is behind him, loud and clear.
The crisis erupted after Bondi’s DOJ released a baffling memo claiming there was “no Epstein client list” and “no blackmail operation.” Americans across the political spectrum did a double-take. The idea that Epstein—a man with connections to global elites, shady private islands, and a trail of broken victims—wasn’t involved in blackmail? That there’s no list? Unbelievable.
Conservatives aren’t buying it—and neither is Bongino.
The backlash was immediate. Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton blasted the DOJ on national TV, insisting that there is a client list and that it’s being covered up. Rep. Tim Burchett echoed the charge, claiming the files were likely scrubbed or buried by Biden-era bureaucrats before they ever reached the hands of Trump officials.
Now Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who has never been afraid to speak truth to power, is making it clear: either Bondi goes, or he does.
According to DOJ watchdog and investigative journalist Julie Kelly, this isn’t a passing spat—it’s a full-blown internal crisis that’s been brewing for months. Kelly revealed on X, “Sources confirm to me the blow up between Dan Bongino and Pam Bondi is very real. This has been brewing for four months and came to a head at the White House on Wednesday. He has not been in the office since.”
Kelly went further, stating that Bongino has had deep concerns about how Bondi’s team was handling the Epstein situation, calling it the breaking point. “Most of the frustration at FBI relates to her handling of Epstein disclosures and disputes between FBI and Bondi about how to proceed,” she noted. “Bongino appears ready to resign imminently if Bondi remains in office.”
The kicker? The conservative grassroots movement—Trump’s army—is standing firmly behind Bongino.
“There’s no question the base is behind Bongino,” Kelly wrote. “Pam Bondi might be a respected name in some circles, but the people want answers—and they trust Dan Bongino and Kash Patel to deliver them.”
She also issued a warning: the longer this scandal festers, the more it distracts from the DOJ’s real wins under Trump’s second term. “Self-inflicted wounds like this are eating away at the Administration’s momentum. Time is ticking, and something drastic needs to change immediately.”

The choice now lies with the White House. Hold on to Bondi and risk losing Bongino—and maybe even Patel—or rip the bandage off now and let the two MAGA fighters finish what they started.
One thing is clear: the America First base isn’t interested in excuses, they want the truth — and they want it now.
