Demi Rose has been the icon when it comes to models on the thicker end of the spectrum. From starting out at a young age on Instagram and feeling the pressures of stardom kick in right away, all the way down to signing her first modeling contract and walking the catwalk; Demi Rose has essentially done it all by age 24.

In the industry, it’s common knowledge that female models are to be extremely thin, placing an added amount of pressure to stay in shape for those walking the runway. This mental anguish can infect and inhibit models for years, and Demi Rose Mawby has recently revealed that after a long popular stint in the modeling business, she’s finally happy with her appearance.

Demi recently revealed this heartwarming revelation during a glossy photoshoot for Oh Polly which is brand that focuses purely on trendy women’s fashion, a genre Demi knows all too well about. She went on to tell Ph Polly this: I was so unhappy and hated my body One day I woke up and realized I had to get better for myself. I I started going to the gym, eating normally, and now Im so confident with my body. Demi Rose Mawby was born March 27th 1995 in Birmingham.

The brown eyed Brit finished her schooling at John Willmott High School where she then opted to continue her education at Walsall College. It was Instagram when she turned 18 that plucked into stardom as her following began to grow. This is when Demi began to really feel the eyes on her, leading to self criticism. After amassing a giant following on Instagram, Demi was contacted by an American Publicity Group named Taz’s Angel’s.

This lead to Demi signing her very first modeling contract. Her career was now officially dependent on her figure, something Demi would struggle with being happy with all the way up to 2019.

Despite her on growing struggle with feeling happy with her body, Demi Rose has since lead a very fulfilling and eventful career as a model.

She made tabloid headlines for dating rapper Tyga. Demi has now officially reached 9.2 million followers on Instagram and that number keeps growing. She has also been a feature in the very popular hip hop magazine known as WorldStarHipHop FHM.

With body image being a talking point in mainstream culture today along with body shaming now something close to a social taboo, Demi Rose has proved to flip norms on their head.

In reaching a point in her life where self-acceptance has become paramount Demi has indirectly set an example for a new generation of young ladies who can look to her Instagram page and her career as a source of inspiration and odds being beat.
