Once a soldier, always a soldier. Bobby Henline is a living testament to the saying.

The 44-year-old war vet finished serving in 2007, but he still dedicates his life toward supporting his fellow troops.

The lack of employment opportunities and other struggles veterans face is a large problem in our country, but Henline is making sure he does his part in keeping our former servicemen and women off the street and capable of providing for themselves and their families.

He is currently in the process of raising capital to fund a restaurant in Houston, Texas.

The community isn’t just the place where Henline wants to help veterans; it’s where he spent one of the most challenging parts of his life. In 2007, over 38 percent of Henline’s body was burned during an explosion in Iraq.

It took nine years and 44 surgeries to bring him where he is today, and through the trials and triumphs of serving his country and recovery, he’s determined to give back to those who have also dedicated a period of their lives to service.

“I’m trying to give back,” Henline told reporters. “This is a great way to do it, through empowerment and food.”
