At just 55 years of age, Ian Frizzell was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease.
Though his official diagnosis came in 2011, he had gradually gotten worse over the years.
Like many patients suffering from this condition, he had been given medications to control the tremors. The shaking was better; however, he felt horrible on the medication.
His quality of life had decreased. The side effect profile of these medications is quite serious. So, against all odds, he decided to go off of the medication and try medical marijuana.
Though the legalization of marijuana has passed in many states, there are still numerous states that have not passed this ordinance. In the United Kingdom, where Frizzell lives, it is banned from use.
After seeing how wonderful this herbal remedy truly was, he decided that he wanted to tell the world about it. He made a video and posted it online. In the video, he talks about his condition and how unbearable life had become.
His goal is to get the attention of Parliament and hope that they can find some resolution for legalized usage. He doesn’t understand why he should be limited in options when the answer to his problem is so easy to find.
The video has not received any official response. He hopes to change people’s views on medical marijuana as well as increase awareness of its ability to help.
Regardless of how people feel about the drug, if it can help just one person, it is worth investigating.
