Some people want to visit as many places as they can before they can no longer travel, but one woman is on pace for being the fastest person to visit every country in the world.
Cassie De Pecol is 27, and she is trying to visit all 196 countries in the fastest time as set forth by the Guinness World Record committee.
She started traveling in 2015 from her home state of Connecticut. In a little over a year, Cassie has almost completed her mission, and she has taken pictures in almost every location to document her travels. She has visited almost all 193 countries as well as Palestine, Taiwan and Kosovo.
Cassie has traveled to 180 countries so far with the others being on her agenda very soon. She has been on over 250 flights. However, she has only 45 days to finish her mission if she wants to break the current record.
There is no doubt from family and friends who believe that she can complete her task.
One of her recent destinations is Cuba. Her desire for visiting every country is that she has a passion for learning about other cultures and seeing how other people live their lives outside of the United States.
