A bus driver got into a serious accident when she collided with a car on the road. There were over 20 people on the bus at the time of the accident.
The students on the bus were members of the Griffith High School basketball team. There were also six adults on the bus. Police determined that the woman collided with the bus after she spilled a drink on herself. Martin Schele was one of the basketball players who was on the bus when the accident occurred. He stated that the accident happened 45 minutes after the trip started.
He stated that the bus started flipping, and everyone began screaming.
They started rushing out of the emergency door. It took everyone a few minutes to get out of the bus. Everybody on the bus was taken to the hospital. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
Anthony Quintero was another player who was on the bus. He stated that everyone was sore, but no one was seriously injured. He stated that the only reason they survived the accident was because God worked a miracle.
The team is grateful that no one had serious injuries. They are also happy that they received a lot of support from the community.
