Potatoes Au Gratin is an easy dish to make. You can add various ingredients to the dish depending on what the family enjoys. When you think about the dish, you probably think about the butter and cream that is added. There is a twist on Potatoes Au Gratin that is delicious and healthy at the same time. It’s best to use Yukon gold potatoes for the dish as these will hold their flavor a little better.

 

Combine ingredients together that you would if you were to make the dish in an ordinary manner. You will also add a large onion that has been chopped, garlic, 1/3 of a cup of Chardonnay wine and a bit of rosemary. This version is a little different as you will add a cup of meat that can include rabbit, turkey or duck. You can also add beef, but it will give a little more fat to the meal.

 

Line a small pan with parchment paper so that the potatoes don’t stick. Cut the potatoes so that they look like coins. Add butter to the bottom of the pan. Lay the potatoes on the bottom of the pan. Pour the ingredients of the potatoes. Add the meat to the top of the potatoes. Bake for about 90 minutes. Turn the pan upside down when the dish is cooled, giving a delicious meal with meat and potatoes.
