People who work in parks and care for animals know all too well that accidents can happen at any time.

It could be something that deals with the animals, or it could be an issue with a guest in the park. One staffer found out the hard way that accidents can also happen with the employees.

The staff member slipped into a pool in the animal park. He was being swept away by the current of the water. There weren’t any rocks of limbs in the water for him to grab hold of, so he was doing his best to try to swim to shore.

In the video, you can see that the man is struggling to stay above water. That’s when a baby elephant comes to the rescue. The elephant carefully gets into the water and plows across to where the man is struggling.

Seeing that the man is being swept under the water, the elephant picks up her pace and grabs him with its trunk. The elephant has been tortured as a performing animal from the time it was born.

It was rescued and taken to the park. The staffer took a special interest in the elephant, which could be why the elephant reacted so quickly to save him.
