There are many things that paramedics see on a daily basis that break the heart or that make the workers smile about saving a life.

On a recent call to a gas station, paramedics found a newborn baby in a trash can. The baby was put in the can by her mother after she was born.

While this was a situation that could have ended in a different way, the paramedics rescued the baby in time to take her to the hospital.

The young mother is in her 20s. Her fmaily was traveling in Pennsylvania and told her parents to stop at a gas station when she didn’t feel well. When the woman entered the gas station, she went to the bathroom.

While there, she delivered the baby. There is no known reason as to why the mother left the baby in the trash can. When paramedics arrived, she tried to tell them that she had a miscarriage.

They started searching the room and found the baby.

The little girl was almost full-term. There are safe haven laws in each state that allow mothers to take a baby to a police station, fire department, hospital or another safe location if the mother doesn’t want the baby.
