For Alexandra and Antonin Kinova, the 5th time is the charm.
Ordinarily, you ‘d be overwhelmed with happiness at the mere fact of welcoming your baby into the world. Having said that, for one couple in the Czech Republic, there’s a whole lot more than a solitary reason to be thankful this time of year, as they greeted their children- yes, you read that right; CHILDREN.

The couple, Antonin and Alexandra Kinova, were really familiar with infants as they already had a child. They were even more ecstatic and eager to learn of the latest member to their household. But bear in mind, things got even more interesting when they found out that they would be having not only one, but two babies.

Taking into account the simple fact that Alexandra and Antonin both stemmed from family members with long past records of twins, they were fixing to continue the family (or in this case, families) tradition.

While in the process of helping make preparations for their brand new child, Alexandra and Antonin, who are both from Milovice (a town in the Czech Republic) found out from their doctor that instead of one child, they would be having a set of twins. Upon learning of this most recent development, the couple, packed with enthusiasm, began to make preparations for the new additions that will be made to the household.

It wasn’t particularly a surprise, considering that they stemmed from families with long histories of giving birth to twins.

However, almost immediately, their doctor got in touch with the couple and set up a meeting in order to re-diagnose.

The next ting the doctor said was something that they certainly never even imagined they ‘d hear. The doctor showed them the ultrasound again and when they analyzed it, the doctor broke the news to them clearly; the couple wasn’t expecting one infant or two … but 4 bundles of joy!

You ‘d think the news would stop there, correct?

Well, it didn’t.

A month afterwards, Alexandra went in to get yet another ultrasound and this time around, it was discovered that there was even another baby in her tummy!

“When we finally found out that there was a fifth little one, I started to sob”, said Alexandra. Naturally, the chances that this young lady was going to conceive five children a once were one in seven million. Still, Alexandra was determined to breastfeed every one of them.

When it was finally time for Alexandra to give birth, the medical facility supplied twice the normal amount of delivery personnel to cater for this delivery. This doubling also included midwives and medical professionals, and this implies that the complete number of staff available for the delivery was nearly 40. The lead physician of the hospital’s neonatal division reported that the procedure went on effortlessly, without a single hitch recorded.

When it was all said and done, the young couple welcomed 5 new babies into their family; 4 baby boys and 1 little girl.

The boys were named Deniel, Alex, Michael, and Martin while the lovely couple named their beautiful baby girl Tereza. All babies were born in a strong state, and there has been not one single health concern reported from the mother and her new babies.

“In this specific country, we have been actively recording statistics of birth since 1949 and in that time, there has never once been a mention of quintuplets. As a matter f fact, quintuplets are birthed in the Czech Republic one time in every 480 years on an average”, said physician Alena Mechurova.
