Colin Kaepernick started a trend across the country by kneeling while the National Anthem was being played at a football game.

He continues to do this, and there are several other athletes who have joined with him. A restaurant located in Virginia Beach has done something with his jersey that has some people very unhappy.

James Perry is one of the customers who was in the restaurant when he saw what was taking place with the jersey. It was taped to the floor at the entrance to the Krossroads Rock and Country Bar.

People who entered the restaurant would have had no choice but to walk on the jersey if they wanted to be seated. Some people thought that it was a joke. There are some people who have asked what they would do to a police uniform or the jersey of someone who stood up for something else that the restaurant didn’t agree with.

Many customers and people across the country feel that the football player is simply expressing his constitutional right of free speech. He’s doing nothing wrong, even though some might not agree with his views of respecting the National Anthem.

The general manager has released statements that the act is not racial and is about the sponsorship of the player.
