A company was about to start knocking down a house for an investor. Curtis Grant got the surprise of his life when he started to look inside the home before it was scheduled to be demolished.

The home looked like an ordinary house that you would see in a neighborhood. Grant discovered something in the frame of the home that has other people interested in the structure and the other things that the home has to offer.

When Grant looked behind the plaster, he noticed wooden legs. The contractors were just as confused as Grant, so they started to tear into the wall a bit more to see if they could tell what they were looking at in the home.

The legs were a part of a one-room cabin that was hidden behind the wall. The cabin was built in the 1860s. This would make the cabin and the home almost as old as the state of Texas.

There are now many people who want to come to tour the home to see the cabin that is inside. Grant placed a few calls and found out that it was probably built during the Civil War. The home hasn’t yet been declared a historical landmark, and Grant could get almost $1 million from a sale. The community wants to turn the home into a historical museum or a landmark.
