Something that can be incredibly useful when you are outside or do not have access to utilities is a stove. It is not always practical to carry around or maintain a premade stove just for emergencies. Fortunately, there are ways that you can create a stove with basic supplies that can often be found around homes. One man on YouTube known as the KGB Survivalist put together a fast and simple way to make a stove outside.

You will need 24 bricks to start. Take one brick and break or cut in half with a saw or a hammer. You will also need a piece of heavy aluminum foil with holes punched through all over it. Folding regular aluminum foil back on itself several times will give you a nice, thick panel. Alternately, you could use a fine metal mesh or grate. Start by placing down three bricks to create a C shape with one half-brick to fill in a corner. Put the aluminum foil or grate on top of that. Lay the next layer of bricks in the same way as the first on top of the foil leaving an opening in the front again. Now use four bricks to create a solid layer with no openings above that and go up until you run out of bricks. This should make a chimney-like structure.

The final brick you have left is used at the opening on the bottom to regulate airflow and control the fire. You can now put kindling, wood or coals on top of the elevated aluminum foil. Light it to start the stove. The flame will reach up and exit through the top of the brick chimney. This stove can be used for heat, cooking or any other purpose.
