Carmel enjoys camping with her family, but one recent camping trip offered an experience that was reminiscent of a horror movie.

As Carmel prepares her family a dinner of fresh Dog Fish that were caught earlier in the day, something scary happened. The fish respond to the seasoning Carmel is using by apparently coming back to life even though they have been skinned and gutted.

Carmel always stays behind when her husband and son go fishing. She keeps the campsite clean and readies it for the evening meal, knowing that her men will bring home the fish they have caught.

Once the fish are cleaned, Carmel uses salt with a few splashes of lemon to add flavor to the fish before they are cooked. On this particular trip, that’s when the fun began.

Granted, Carmel may not have thought it was funny at the time when the Dog Fish began to flop and contort their dead bodies.

As it turns out, there is a scientific explanation for what Carmel experienced. The salt and lemon produce a chemical reaction which actually causes the motor receptors in the muscles of the fish to fire even though they no longer have their vital organs.

The natural reaction of most anyone would be to think these fish are demon possessed or otherworldly. Very few people know about this bit of weird science, so feel free to prank your own friends the next time you take them on a fishing trip.
